    1980 "Heritage Edition" FJ55?

Never seen a verified ‘80, there was a rumored one in OZ … but never a vin. It had barn doors too but RHD, who knows. That purple headliner is something…

    1978 FJ55 BATPIG

Nice - I was a student at UT in the late 90s, remember the drag in her former glory. No idea what kids do now, but it’s not hanging out doing cool stuff like back in the day. Many hours in a dark booth drinking cheap beer & eating pizza with friends at the old 29th location. Progress they call...

Holy project creep Batman, you’ll be driving this in 18mos at this rate 😆. Keep up the good work, my armchair is ready for the big game!

    Taillights

I made that inner gasket out of neoprene rubber with an exacto knife tracing my existing. Much easier than the outer gasket -

    1978 FJ55 BATPIG

Man - more live action in this thread than I’ve seen in a long time! Love the cleanup, this pig is going to be sweet. I’m betting SOR had a 55 version of that bar, Marv was a big fan of the pigs (had a 20min conversation with him about 55 mirrors when ordering new screws for mine back in the...

    Beck FJ55

I like it - looks better w/o the hubcaps though.

    1968 fj40 resto

It’s a double flare, usually the line is soft enough you can pull it out if the fitting spread it. As old and brittle as that is, all bets are off. Have you tried rotating it with the threads to screw it out?

I’m sure the visors looked like crap against the new headliner, so they just left them out. I always wanted to do a set of those aviation visors in mine 😎

Builds Unicorns are real... My dream car FJ73 build

Back in the day Eshan(sp?) posted some pictures of workers welding paki bows in his shop, they were crouched down in sandals welding with stick arc welders on a dirt floor. You’re seeing the results 😆

    Opinions on seats.

This makes it seem the offer was rejected 😆

    Opinions on seats.

I put buckets out of the 91-92 FJ80 in my ‘79, were flat bottomed and easy to install with a tuffy console. I was also able to match the front & back Tuff Duck covers as SOR had options for both vehicles in the same color canvas (saved me $$ on upholstery). Just another option -

    Cruisers Seen Around ATX

It’s still plenty safe except the coyotes coming up from the creek! Thieves were likely construction workers doing all the utility work along Shoal Creek 😉 Commander is still alive and kicking-

    Builds Sky Blue 76

I’ve used the 3M paint and rust wheels on an angle grinder, prepare to go through some disks. Blasting is much easier -
