What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Spending this whole week on this waste of time and money... 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thanks to @mudgudgeon @Cruzilla @NeverClean @Locked79 and many others. 🤙🏽

Super Cheap used 80 OEM birfs, axles and front backing plates.

Taken off my 96 80. Good condition. Splines are straight and the birfs don't click. If you on oahu and need/want them, let me know Will

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Not sure this the right place to post Saw this 40 in a Disney+ trailer for a film called 'Star Girl' Jumped off the couch and started yelling, "That's a LAND CRUISER!" 😂 🤦🏻‍♂️

EBC ROTORS AND PADS (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

@FMC80 Cool dude and nice cruiser. Great to see the rig in person! @Delta VS arms are impressive. I'll eventually pronounce "Partsouq" correctly 😅

EBC ROTORS AND PADS (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

I have a set of new EBC 80 series (92-97) FRONT rotors and pads. Stock OEM replacement, not the fancy slotted ones. Doing a 105/7x conversion so I don't need them, and shipping back would be too expensive. If you on Oahu, and want them, or know someone who needs them, PM me. Giving them away...

    6 lug to 5 lug good/bad?

Fair enough. 😂 Anyway, my point is this job is a big under taking. There's a reason no one really does it. 🤷‍♂️ No, if you want to run OEM 100/200 Tundra wheels, you have to use wheel spacers because of the 60+ offset. Thats a over 2 inch wheel spacer, just to get close to the stance of a...

    6 lug to 5 lug good/bad?

This is not accurate, having bought all the parts myself. For example, rear 105 axles alone cost $900 shipped from PARTSOUQ. Thats without the side gears, and the labour to install them. You need new rotors, front brake callipers, etc. This is seriously a waste of money, unless it's an obsession.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

More parts for my conversion... Grabbed non-ABS knuckles. Decided to do S15+13A front calipers, because those came standard on almost all non-ABS 105s Going to try the 200 series caliper bolts. (00+100/105 front caliper non-washer bolts as comparison) Both M12x1.25 Rear 105 rotors...

Different recommended pressure front and rear - ???

I was wondering the same thing for standard trim 100/105's with 235 or 7.50 tubes. I've read that some manufactures do this for understeer. But could someone shed some light on this, in a cruiser context?

70 Workmate steel wheels... grey or unpainted?

More informed people can answer with authority, but I really like the look of a wagon with GX alloys. A lifted wagon would look great with the 16x8 105 steelies 4261160200/42611-60200. The 105's are painted silver like you mentioned. What the steelies look like on a 79. LINK -> 4x4community.co.za

What to do for a easy anti theft device?

Once you get the pin-point location, what you gonna do? Take down their criminal syndicate? /s But seriously, high quality GPS cool, but most people are lazy, like me, and will forget about it. It least if it's beeping and giving them notifications that they're being tracked, you can hope...

What to do for a easy anti theft device?

I like @Nemesis1207 idea with prepaid android phone. If you're in the Apple ecosystem you can try APPLE AIRTAGS They say: "Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud —...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

First off, Happy Mother's day to all the mom's in our lives. Decided to go "ABS delete" when I do my conversion. Used this YT vid as a reference. If you're on this forum, let me know so I can properly @ and shout you out. 🤙🏽

    Stupid Center Cap Question

Assuming it's the correct P/N, and it looks like its the hook/clip style. Line it up straight, and use a rubber mallet to pop them in. It is super tight, but it's metal and they'll be fine. The hooks/clips slide in and catch the wheel face. The aforementioned "hooks" on my hub caps, below...

    Steel Wheel Tech

Roger dat This conversion only makes sense if you want one of three OEM wheels: 6.5” 105 spoke steelies 8” 105 spoke steelies 7” 70 alloys You have countless circle/hole/puka style steel wheel options, for the stock set up. If you want something utilitarian, use those instead of wasting...
