I had the AFI system in a 350/TH400 in the FJ45 and it worked well. So, I got one for the 40 with a 2F/SM420 in it. I got the complete kit with an FJ60 distributor and the FI system was supposed to handled all advance curve... It never ran right. I have since put the Howell sniper kit on the 40...
I contacted a vendor about a replacement top for a 65 FJ45 SWB RT, mine is in pretty bad shape. From my understanding the reproduction tops do not have the clamp type hold downs above the window, they bolt down. obviously my windshield frame wont have anywhere to bolt.
Has anyone tried one of...
I put the minitruck box on my 40. It has worked well with 35's.... the 5th or 6th time through the rubicon/fordyce the ears started to peel off the center link. The center link is the weak spot, carry a spare. They wear quickly, and the mounting tabs will tear off.

That is not really hi-steer. That is an old skool double steering arm that puts a metric s*** ton of twisting stress on the passenger side arm. They worked when everyone was running 33" tires.
Maybe look at a what 4x4labs offers or one of the many other vendors for true hi-steer... or go dana...
Nope, mini truck CV. I ground the holes oval.
Yea, maybe it wasn't as strong as it once was, but it survived 4 or 5 trips across the rubicon, and three trips over fordyce (it is NOT a trailer queen). It did eventually fail, but it was not at the flange. You can see the holes are not hogged out...
