I've had this thread bookmarked for a few years but just now got around to setting it up. Wow! Great work. I can only imagine the time and effort to put it all together.
I've always bought all the paper factory service manuals for my '86 FJ60 and '93 FZJ80 and was disappointed that wasn't an...
Funny, I just ordered the adjustable Rancho XL9000 yesterday. RS999113 and RS999118 for the "little cruiser" '69 FST.
Thought I was only going to replace the brittle and missing bushings on the old Rancho 9000 "5 speed" adjustable shocks but after pulling them I figured some new dampeners...

Hi Eric, good to see you here too. I haven't been checking in too much but expected to see your post count over a billion by now. :grinpimp:
The Echolink phone app works well provided you're mobile radio is in range and listening to a repeater with an echolink node. We use pre-set a...
We've used Echolink from Android phone to Radio for a few years (she will need Ham license for echolink). Lately prefer APRS text messages SMSGTE. Pretty good digipeater coverage on Rubicon and other high sierra locations these days.

I actually opened the forum tonight because I was curious to see if any of the Land Cruiser Hams might be...
As someone that generally tries to anticipate and prepare, I found the unknown and the uncertainty most enjoyable. The kinks, missteps (and anything with Peter) are the best memories. :)
Laying under our FZJ80 doing some maintenance yesterday I wondered if "Ruby" would be up for a second ACT twenty years after the first. I couldn't come up with a reason why not. Except perhaps the 2011 200 series parked next to it.
An experience of a lifetime we'll never forget. An epic...
Embarrassed to say it was scraps of bubble wrap, Reflectix tape, random foam bits and whatever else was lying around. Can't see it and it seem to work. Function over form and free. :hillbilly:
Scraps were leftover from my sandwiched bubble wrap and Reflectix window insulators. I Velcro...

It was the dust from many miles on the Trunk Road in Alberta that pushed me to fix my dust problems. Took a few interior panels off to access the many "through floor" penetrations for plumbing, electrical, etc. to sealing those gaps finally ended the dust. The trailer had a belly pan...
Sounds familiar. I've been dragging a 2017 Forest River Sonoma around the country, mostly boondock camping. Just two people. The trailer floor plan provides full bath room and full size walk around queen bed. Perfect for two people. Any entertaining is done outside. It's been pretty much...
