    MLED 2.0 Thoughts?

Pretty comparable. Only thing I don’t like is if there’s failure, you’re stuck until you get new parts to put in where hid you can easily have spares and swap on the trail. Plus, just helped a buddy swap a failed mled. Fan actually fell off, and no cooling fried it. It was screwed on as it...

    Anyone running these lights?

If you’re not in a big hurry. Awesome lights and output is nuts for the size. https://www.diodedynamics.com/stage-series-3-sae-dot-white-max-round-led-pod-pair.html Otherwise, this is what I have in the sae driving pattern on my truck. Outshines my D2s 55w hid projector highs...

    Light recommendations for rain conditions

Definitely recommend the diode dynamics lights in sae street legal fog pattern. I’ve used the pro and max versions. Have sports on a friends truck. I have the white but carry yellow covers to add versatility to the lights depending on condition.

    Light suggestion

Look at diode dynamics, 3 different brightness levels, multiple patterns, etc. loving the sae fogs and the sae driving beam in so far

My new 2 tone LED fog Lamp Bulbs on my 05 Super Hilux ..

Is the glare from the actual output or from reflecting up? I’m pretty particular on output and pattern for functionality and not blinding other people. My hid projector retrofit headlights have a nice sharp cutoff, same for the auxiliary lights I use.

How about a shot on a wall to see the pattern.

Finally a Tacoma owner - 2004 Supercharged DCab

These measure out to 31.6x11.2. A bit taller than the 265s and wider. I also ran 285/70r17 on the sr5 wheels with no spacer and no uca issues.

This is my winter setup with 285/65r17 on those wheels. No issue on the upper control arm, no spacers.

No more DRL after changing high beam bulbs to LED

Can, just more work, but my Tacoma is a single high/low.

No more DRL after changing high beam bulbs to LED

Why I have an hid projector retrofit.

No more DRL after changing high beam bulbs to LED

At least they’re in a high beam and hopefully only used when people aren’t around.

Why no amber LED fog lights?

These have held up well on a friends tacoma and have a pretty decent pattern.

    Auxiliary spot / flood lights

I’ve used lightforce for over 10 years. I’ve had the 140s and 170s in halogen and like the adjustability for focus and filters. Held up great so far. Going to the hids once my truck is back from the body shop.

ARB Intensity - "knockoff" or "unbranded" versions.

What bulb do the halogen ones take? On the 500, it takes an h3. An h3c hid, which is shorter than a normal hid, keeps the proper focal point of light to not screw up the pattern.

ARB Intensity - "knockoff" or "unbranded" versions.

The hella conversion is just the cost of an hid kit and some time. Hella 500 would be an h3c to keep the beam pattern correct. Not sure what bulb the 4000s take.

Stock Headlights: HID vs Slee Harness & 65W HIR's

Pointing them down just gives a hot spot in front and kills distance. Why I say do the hirs and harness to keep the focus proper. Or do hids properly and do depo clear housings with hid projectors retrofitted to properly focus the light.

Stock Headlights: HID vs Slee Harness & 65W HIR's

Don’t do hids unless you’re retrofitting in a proper hid projector. The reflector is designed around a halogen bulb focal point, and hid bulb will have a different focal point which will throw light and glare where it’s not intended and can blind other drivers. Do the hir, proper pattern and...
