🤔 Steamer; looked at doing that today BUT would be a bitch to get to the starter motor and solenoid as also have an AC in that side there and it gets very tight trying to work; hate it but not as flexible as I used to be  hopefully with the good cleaning + dielectric grease will keep...

Travis; good observation; pretty much think have ruled out a bad resistor as when tested it is doing its job reducing the voltage from 12 to 9; there is a gremlin hiding somewhere 👺

P_H; big thank you again; I appreciate your input and guidance tremendously and don't consider it harping just steering adjustments  its a process of elimination :frown: and don't have a very reliable wiring diagram also don't have the usual fusible link; it does have a fusible...

OK still beating my head :bang: ........... fuse box and wiring look pretty beat :frown: maybe I need to put in a NOS that I have stashed :hmm: but ALL the fuses test OK with the multimeter; hate to put a new one in if can get the old one to work; :hmm: in pix of the back two spade connectors...

1974 fj 55 only runs in start!

am thinking :hmm: I screwed/shorted something out checking fuses under dash in fuse box to get headlights going,💡 my helper said noticed a "spark" ⚡when was pulling fuses, am thinking damaged something and finally failed completely thus 'no cranking" anymore whereas before could crank in start...
