Installing caster correction will take a lot of that out.

    Solving parasitic draw

My understanding of zener diodes is they only pass a certain voltage. In this case it might be 12v. Since a charged battery is usually around 12.3v and has a charging voltage or 14.2v. Passing only 12v would ensure that the rings brightness is constant. But I could be wrong.

    Replacing fuel tank filler neck

I put a new pipe in whole with the body on. I compressed the pipe from being round to an oval. Then jacked up on the rear floor for extra room and forced the pipe in. Then using a c-clamp round out the pipe again. The pipe interfaces with a rubber connector so being perfectly round isn’t a...

White smoke fuel smell after Bosch injector upgrade. Help?

What I’d do is unplug each injector 1 at a time and do 2 checks each time. First check is to take a continuity check on each wire on that injector to ground. Toyota switches ground to fire the injector that’s why a short to ground holds the injector open. If you find a short wiggle and move...

Front Control Arm Bracket Breakage and Repair

The 4” plates adds 7* of caster correction. Tilting the axle on the rear bolt would cause all kinds of problems with tie rod contact, springs hitting the bump stops and perch alignment issues. Drilling new holes eliminated all the problems. The passenger side is tight and you need to use a...

Front Control Arm Bracket Breakage and Repair

I’ve had people use my 4” plates to repair an axle bracket. The 4” plates have dowel pins that lock into the factory bolt holes and once welded on add additional strength.

looks like there is something going on with the front left wheel. Look cat the camber reading. Might check the wheel bearings.

Caster Correction for Dobinson C97-146VT 2.5" Springs

I have no experience with these springs but that doesn't seem right. With that 3/4" difference your axles aren't parallel and the truck won't track straight. I'd get some shims and level that truck out. I think you'll end up around 3" of lift.

Caster Correction for Dobinson C97-146VT 2.5" Springs

you might have the springs installed backwards, that's a rather big difference and it could be the rears as well. You want the taller springs on the left (DS) of the truck.

Caster Correction for Dobinson C97-146VT 2.5" Springs

There is nothing better than stock bushings in the front arms for longevity. I’d install OEM bushings and then add plates. If you measure from the center of the front hub to the underside of the flare and subtract 20.5 you will get a good idea of what the lift is and your correction needs are.

    Builds 1FZ-FE TRD S/C Rebuild

What I’ve seen from monitoring the fuel trims is that along the (RPM, TPS ,LOAD) range there are points were the LTFT will be hard set and different between the points. I have no idea how they are identified or values determined, just that they are there. How are the idling Fuel trims?

    Builds 1FZ-FE TRD S/C Rebuild

The total trim is not that far out at @ 14.0. You need to drive the truck for the ecu to apply the short term value of -20.3 to the long term value. I’m at sea level and typically see a total trim of +7-8

    Double cardan driveshaft help

Concerning the DC joints, there are 2 styles that Toyota used. The inside clip and the outside clip. The inside clip has substantially larger joints both in diameter and length. As of late Toyota uses a crimp style tube with the smaller outside clip DC joint. All my shafts use the larger...

    Engine Wiring Harness Information 8/1992-12/1994 FZJ80: 82121-60340/1/2

At least the gauge of the wire is different and they are labeled. I worked on a machine that all the wires were black and the same guage. It was a startup company and they designed the PCBs to have the same foot print and pin out to cover all the different duties needed. This all limited...

Likely the brush assembly. They last a really long time but not forever. I change them out on all my Toyotas as part of baselining a new vehicle.
