What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I feel for ya. I traced wiring as far as I could behind the motor to avoid. Here's the part number for the intake I used from the K&N website. 57-9027

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

about a month ago had some rats partying under the hood of my LX470. They went straight for the knock sensors. Didn't even know I had a problem until I dropped my son off at daycare and had an unexpected check engine light come on on the way home. Both knock sensors had been chewed on, and...

Busted ignition - ignition cylinder rod replacement

That was the best way to go. I don't know why so many guys are afraid of removing the ignition module off the back to get it indexed properly.

    Lx470 1998-99 AHC reinstall

As someone who has spent alot of time working on AHC over the last couple of years for various forum members and myself...I'd be weary of trying to use any of the existing AHC components that were not capped or sealed off. Do you know why the PO removed the system? That'll really help determine...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I decided to install some Auxbeam driving lights and an Auxbeam switch panel. I've always run SwitchPro's and chose this option after positive feedback from others for the price. I'm anxious to see how it performs. The quality of the SwitchPros is still hard to beat compared to this so far. I'd...

Busted ignition - ignition cylinder rod replacement

I just replaced mine this week. Some people say not to remove the ignition module off the back of the assembly, but I had to remove mine so I could get the broken piece indexed properly to remove it. I wasted an hour trying to do it without removing the ignition module. The most difficult part...

Busted ignition - ignition cylinder rod replacement

Here’s what I got for my 2000 lx470 This part number is for those of us who have a power telescoping & tilt column. The whole assembly comes with the rod. You can get it from partsouq in about a week from the UAE, that’s where I got mine.

Sorry for a reply over a year later. It has been working great. No issues at all.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

It may just be the angle of this photo, but it appears the hose clamp at the block may not be on the port completely. I remember when I've done all of mine in the past; they usually sit closer to the block of the engine. Just my .02 cents. I just updated the post to try and provide a reference...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I finally got around to finishing up my rear door cards and re-upholstery after ambient temps went up a little here. I think they turned out very well. And I'm anxious to see how the waterproof door card material holds up over the years. It was interesting to see how Toyota assembled them at the...

Skids + Sliders + AHC Globes- Order of Operations

In all seriousness, sliders will not make any difference on the globe install. I've done it both ways. Skids definitely will.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Applying a little bit of heat with a heat gun while removing the material where it is glued to the door cards will help prevent any material separation or tears while removing it from the old door cards. Not a guarantee, but it'll help.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I am paying attention and I've already reached out to see if he's willing to sell the CAD files. After doing a bunch of leg work for him over about a week to work out a trade, he completely flaked. So, that's why I'm making my own now. But, thanks for assuming I haven't. If you want me to put...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Spent the weekend helping out another cruiserhead on his 100 series, and spent some time re-making the rear door cards for my 80. After removing the door panels to replace speakers and installing sound deadening, I realized the retainer pockets had all torn out or deformed since a previous...

    100 series as a farm truck/side x side?

It took me several attempts to reply to this thread politely, so I'm just going to say, it's your vehicle...do whatever you want with it. I just have to ask, why did you feel the need to ask the group what to do with a LC with 170k on the odometer...? :cautious:

(Fairly urgent) LX470 AHC (frt riding bumpstop) no AHC dash light or service lights

It's likely there is just a bulb burned out in the switch. If you have power to the lower portion of the switch, you should have power to the upper portion. Easy way to find out...pull the other bulb and see if it's burned out. Since you mentioned the 'OFF' button isn't doing anything, there's...

(Fairly urgent) LX470 AHC (frt riding bumpstop) no AHC dash light or service lights

Are you able to open any other vehicle utilities other than the AHC in Techstream? I've never had an error like that. All I can suggest is re-boot your computer and try again. 1.Attach your techstream to your vehicle 2.Input your vehicle information 3.Start up the truck 4. Try opening any of...

(Fairly urgent) LX470 AHC (frt riding bumpstop) no AHC dash light or service lights

Make sure you have the correct vehicle selected in Techstream, otherwise, you're wasting your time. Initial impressions indicate there is an electrical issue if you have dash lights that are not working. First thing...check all of your fuses. Don't just look and hope for the answer by looking...
