Question Possible Expo w/BHCC 2010

hi all..
we are members of the fj bruisers on the east coast...

www.fjbruisers.org/forum

looking to incorporate a mini expo with the BHCC in 2010...
there will be approximately 5-6 FJCs, which we will prolly ship out..we'll fly out...
we have been reading up on the black hills and all the attractions...the easy-to-find info...

im looking for any input you all might have on special places we might trek to...things that might not be well known to the GP..we will prolly be in SD for about 8 days or so...

thanks in advance
Pat

Hi Pat,

Sorry we did not get back to with an answer sooner. The 2010 BHCC will be July 14th - 17. The 14th is registration day with trail rides thur though Sat. The Trails that we run at the Classic are well suited for the FJC crowds. We had the Toyota trail team at our event for multiple years when they were in existence.

As far as attractions here is a short list off the top of my head. If you want more I can do some research for you.

Mt. Rushmore
Crazy Horse Memorial
Custer State Park (Excellent place to see)
Cleghorn Springs State Fish Hatchery (I am a little partial to this one since I work there!)
Badlands National Park
Spearfish Canyon
Sturgis, SD (Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Location)
Wind Cave National Park
Historic Deadwood, SD
Homestake Gold Mine, Lead SD
Journey Museum

That is just a few that I can think of in a hurry. There is just a multitude of attractions to see thoughout the hills as well as plenty of scenic drives throughout all of the BlackHills. There is also numerous fire lookout stations that fun to trek to and see since you get some highway travel as well as offroad travel to get to them.

Hope this info is helpful and we would love to see your group join us is 2010!
