The Lowcountry brothers have had this trip on their calendar for a little while, so let's join 'em! Looks like the GA Cruisers might be there the same weekend too, so it will be a little Southeast Hoedown in the mud. Trails are not very technical from the intel I have, so there should be something for everyone here. Sliders and armor are not needed, but good mud tires will go a long way and lockers will make things less unpredictable

Camping on site is available. Apparently, primitive tent camping is abundant and may not need reservations. It is suggested you call ahead if you want a cabin. Their online booking only does a minimum of 2-nights, so call or email the registration desk if you are only staying 1-night.
Accommodations

Please keep in mind that our Cabins and RV's are sleeping quarters for Dirt Bikers, ATV riders, Hunters...Etc.
We are by no means the RITZ but our units provide your basic, rustic needs while visiting our Parks.
We provide a clean Cabin or RV, your linens, towels and washcloths, soap, and tissue.
All of our Cabins, (except the Primitive Cabins) have a TV & DVD Player, a refrigerator & microwave. (RV's are not equipped with TV/DVD)
We do NOT allow Cooking in our Cabins or RV's except by campfire or microwave.
You can always enjoy a home cooked meal in Bevelyn's Kitchen Restaurant located in our Lodge."

we have Maglight, Green Sea Man, and PitBullCruiser up there last night with Dbenke and some US and ONSC people due to show on Saturday morning early.

I was suppose to go but gotta work and could not get out of here in time to make it worth the drive :(

Had a good time despite that addition of 300 lbs. of mud to my GVW.

some samples...not 10 minutes into our ride and we get a feel for how this day was going to be.

Right off the bat, I had to winch my self out of a mucky, knee-deep mess. I was trotting back up the trail to assist Pat and proved that it was exactly knee-deep in a spot that looked "solid". Enjoy...only shame is I didn't have the camera running when I sank up to my knee and almost tossed the camera into another county.

Benke got himself so stuck that we had to strap Pat's rig to a tree and use a snatch block. Benke said he was just following me, but I don't think so. His wheels weren't even touching the bottom. We all looked like slot car racers at this place. Once your wheels got in the ruts, there was no fighting it.

Me and Thomas were tree huggers on this day... well, more like tree yankers, trying to keep Pat's rig from getting the Dig-Dug signature look (which, by the way, became ever more enhanced after a run-in with another tree).

We found the Grand Canyon and rolled into it with no brakes ...wheeeee! I didn't want to risk getting sideways, so I just put it in second gear, rolled over the edge and let gravity do its thang.

By the far the funniest moment is when Benke almost made it up this slippery ramp. Remember I said "almost"...ha-ha-haaaaaa!

I hate mud but would rather have been there again this year fighting the Georgian Snot than working in Charleston. LOL

Glad all had fun.....except for the inevitable clean up now. LOL
