Thanks Steve. Glad you guys are working with us on this great event. This year it will be on Dec 5, 2009 and as you may suspect 2009 will be a tough year for the kids so please consider participating. Details are still formulating but as you guys know we're raffling off the FJ62 at this event and it's only appropriate the UC be there with us.
Also, I think we're going to add an afternoon wheeling event into the mix and perhaps a Saturday night camp out for those who want to dare the December temps. The Ga. Cruisers have access to some private property about 45 mins. north of downtown Atlanta that has some good wheeling and camping.

Bump- it would be great to meet up and roll in together for this one. We could combine this with our December monthly meeting.

The plan as of now is to meet at Perimeter mall and then caravan downtown to the Varsity. There's rumor of getting a Police escort but not solid yet. Then, weather permitting, shooting up to Ralph's early afternoon for some wheeling and perhaps camping.

For you guys coming in from out of town, my wife works for Marriott and could get some nice rates on rooms... just let me know. I can also host a few and could probably find a few extra beers if anyone was interested.

Here's a 4 week bump.
As of right now it looks like we have the UC (Thanks!!) The Ga Bounty Runners, SOLAROS, and a handful of Expo guys all coming.
total headcount as of now is roughly 50+ rigs and a large compliment of cruiser heads.
Schedule as of now:
9:00-9:30 -- Gather in the parking lot at 211 Perimeter Ctr Pkwy, Atlanta, GA
9:30 Prompt: Depart for the Varsity and arrive +/- 10:00AM
10:00-11:00--Make toys & cash donation to the Marines, Pics and socializing
11:00AM--Pull the winning ticket for our Rescue Tellico raffle:
11:00-12:00 -- Eat lunch at the Varsity
12:00--whenever go to Dawsonville for a little wheeling.
If you live on the southside of ATL just meet us at The Varsity downtown ATL at 10AM

Guys--Here's a little clarification on the Toys for Tots. While we are obviously pulling the winning ticket for the truck the bigger cause is to help give kids a good Christmas that otherwise will not have one. Below is my post from the Ga site in hopes that it gives you an idea of what we do for this event. thanks for attending, it's looking like we're going to have 50-60 rigs this year.
The purpose obviously is to donate toys to kids in need. I believe Toys for Tots says they want/need unwrapped toys for boys and girls from ages 12 and under. Their site doesn't really say much about what types of toys to donate so I'll just let our 2008 pictures tell the story.
We're not asking folks to spend a lot of money, last year I think I spent about $25-30. A lot of folks go to places like the Dollar store and Big Lots where toys are plentiful and affordable.

Glad you guys are going to make.

That's nice of you to bring a driver Adam, they won't have to drive too far. My home is just north of town.

Any excuse to go to the Varsity is a good one, but I think this is going to be a great day!
"What'll Ya Have?"
old cruisers, chili dogs, toys, Marines, new cruisers, fresh onion rings, big cruisers, "F.O." (frosted orange), stock cruisers, "no potato over 24hrs old" french fries, FREE CRUISER, "Glorified" burgers, all kinds of cruisers wheeling...
Kitty and I will definitely be there.

I hadn't even thought about selling it yet, but guess we better come up with a price pretty quick.

I don't know those PS caps are a little tricky. Might want to step back from it and get a plan on attack on paper.

Someone should be working on Monday morning, not thinking about how much he would rather be eating at The Varsity.
And yes this is my job.
