URE Aug 9-12

I am taking my boat and camper along with kids and kids. May do some wheeling Sunday and hit the lake on Monday. Anyone else going to be in the area?

You or your wife must be a school teacher since I think some counties are making the staff report back on the 13th. If so I understand as my wife is, and we are trying to figure out a last minute getaway before she reports back for lockdown.

Have fun, wish I could make it.

Dang I forgot you were over there. I was at Jeri's brother's place in Vass (between Rockingham and Raleigh) and was talking up URE with him. He just got back from A'stan and transferred from Ft Campbell KY to Ft Bragg. He has a pretty gnarly jeep and a huge Polaris ATV and I was talking up bringing them to URE for some wheeling and shooting and camping.
How was the weather? It was hot at his place but we spent most of the weekend on or in the water. They live on a big private lake and have a new ski/wakeboard/tubing boat.

Hey Bill!

Hot - but shady of course. I wheeled Sunday not many on the trails and very dusty. Wish you made it, you weren't too far away. Pete was up there last week and everything was covered with mud. This weekend - holes, ruts etc. Some were ridiculous and need maintenance. We spent Monday on the lake though and left out today (Tuesday).
