Cruiser Spottings

Spotted two 40's this week.

One was on 276 by Furman headed to Gville. Red, lifted, hardtop.

Other was today in downtown Greer. Green, hardtop, lifted, winch, roof rack, good shape. I left a note on this one.

Anyone know who these belong to?

We should change this thread title to "sightings" or something similar and make it a sticky up top.

There is an olive in Pickens that has been sitting at a repair shop on 183 for a few weeks, there has also been a tan 40 with a bass boat for sale behind it in downtown Pickens the past few weekends

Tan Fody belongs to someone David Harrison knows.

A white 60 is for sale today in a mechanics parking lot across from the Lowes @ Cherrydale. I didn't stop but I can if someone wants more info.

Also saw the red Fody in the car lot on Haywood. I think it might be the same one I saw a few years ago for sale near Furman. I could see tons of rust from 300 feet away @ 45 mph so I didn't stop.

If I remember right, they were asking $7500.00 if it is the same one.

For the red 40 on Haywood Rd? That's nuts!

That 40 would go for 1500 to 2000 on MUD right now - IIRC it needs a whole new rear tub.

I saw an old man driving a new looking dune colored FJC on I-26 near airport rd in the Fletcher/Arden area, it had a UC sticker on it, and the driver looked confused. He might have been lost as he looked like he was farther south than he lived. Not sure, but the truck looked good.

Did he have a cigar hanging out of his mouth and a big smile on his face? I've seen that guy before but never have been able to get a good handle on him.

Hey, I resemble that! Yes, I had my doors blown off by a 100 series late Saturday afternoon as I was returning from Wilmington. Damn those young wip-er-snappers! He even had a good looking college girl in the front seat, just to make matters worse for an old fogey! I guess those good-looking coeds go for guys who can afford double cappucino grande lattes.

I was in sixth gear and doing all that I could with only six cylinders and listening to Paul Harvey sing the greatest hits of Pat Boone.

I still want to know who has the silver FJC and lives over off Chapman Dr. They have a new UC sticker.

Also spotted a mustard yellow 40 coming out of Columbia towards Shaw AFB off hwy 76. That's my 3rd time seeing it.

Saw a VooDoo Blue FJC in downtown ATL but with S.Carolina plates. It was lifted, had a hi-lift on the back of the rack, Warn rear bumper, big mud tires. Parked right out in front of the valet lot at the Embassy Suites hotel for a couple days. No recognizable stickers.

Was it Toyota Mustard Yellow or did it look like a sunshine? My youth minister from HS lives near Irmo and has a bright yellow 40, but I am not sure if its running now or not. He's been to a few of the Columbia get togethers.

Man this thread could get long fast. Yup, there goes another one. High Point is flooded w/ nice 62's lately.
I was up in Asheville area all weekend and have never seen so many modded 80's.

White lifted bumperd 80 at the starbux in Builtmore village
Moonglow lifted and bumpered 80 at courthouse falls. Fellows name was steve and was familiar w/ UC.
ARB'd stock 80 on Haywood at Sunny Point Grill
Black 80 with a lift and some kayaks up top up towards Section 9 of the french broad.. stackhouse area
and a navy lifted 80 on the Fletcher side of town at a stereo installation store

then one lonely lifted 62 w/ illinois plates and a mud sticker in the river arts district

and i saw that dune FJC w/ the confused cigar smoker as well on tunnel road frantically waiving you down from a beemer though.

I feared your dog wanted to whiz on my tent again (Wolfpacker for sure). My FJC not being caught by a Beemer? Not possible!

I do have the urban bling subwoofer, so if you were beeping, yelling, or in the FJC's massive blind spot, I didn't hear or see you.

I predict I will see a burgundy 80 in Decatur tonight, more specifically, with the owner hanging out in the parking lot at ACC enjoying a frosty beverage

Was on vacation this week in the mountains of West Virginia... saw 6-8 built FJC's at Seneca Rocks on my way home this morning at about 8:30. Did a quick drive by and said hello to a few guys by there trucks. Couldn't stop to chat... had a 10 hour drive ahead of us, and kid and wife who just didn't get my excitement?

White 80 w/ ~ 6" lift running KM2's. Tube front bumper, no rear bumper. Still has fender flares.

It was spotted twice this weekend. Once by me downtown Greenville Friday evening and once by Boombapslappy Sunday I think.

It has a Clemson sticker on the back and a Slee'd sticker on the side. Anyone know who this is?
