Save Tellico - Win a Truck!!! Details inside
Upstate Cruisers is going to do our part to help the Ga Cruisers with their upcoming Land Cruiser Raffle... and give you a chance to win a truck!
UC is going to purchase $500 worth of raffle tickets for the truck to be given to UC Members that donate parts to the buidup of the truck. There is a thread on the Ga Cruisers site that provides a list of needed parts which will be continuously updated as the build progresses.
UC will give members 1 $10 raffle ticket for every $20 in parts donated. We will have a total of 50 tickets to give away and it will be first come first served. The only stipulation is the part has to be something they need and accept. Within reason, donating members can establish the value of the part.
So... in a nutshell here's the program.
UC buys $500 worth of raffle tickets.
UC Members donate $1000 worth of parts to the Ga Cruisers to help build the truck.
UC Members get 1 $10 ticket for every $20 worth of parts donated.
A UC Member wins a new truck!!! (That last part isn't guaranteed... the first two should be)
We SAVE TELLICO!!!!!
Go to the GA Cruisers site now and see what they need.
Donate a part they need, email me with the part they need and the value and there will be tickets with your name on them!

Wow, I can't thank the Upstate Cruisers enough.
We should also include all of the clubs, vendors and individuals alike for the overwhelming support we continue to receive. While the Ga Cruisers are organizing this raffle we certainly want recognize the efforts put forth by everyone who has contributed selflessly by fighting for access to public lands. It is through a united front that we can win this battle.
Currently, we have accepted pledges of parts and cash from as far away Utah and Colorado. The official parts list is being kept by Heather (Thanks Heather) and should be updated regularly. We delivered the truck to ACC on Thursday for a good look over which I'm sure will result in a much bigger parts list. While we certainly have on our list some fancier items let's not overlook the mundane things such as hoses, belts, gaskets etc that will be required and every bit as important. Of course, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
As we try to gain national attention to the cause through this raffle we ask to keep excitement up and pass word along to everyone you know.
Again a BIG Thanks from the Ga. Cruisers to our brothers & sisters in the Upstate Cruisers, Great Job!

Wally world is fine...and as for the radiator, I think so...but I am chekcing. Is the one you have in good shape (i.e. doesn't need rebuilt and can just be installed)?

I have no idea on the radiator. I would have it checked out. It came from the motor I had rebuilt - might be fine - might not. If its not you can chunk it.

would it be out of line to post up the list in the Parts-Classifieds? Maybe some kind hearted folks trying to clean out thier supplies could help.
I saw that Iron Pig off road has 2 a440's for sale right now with low mileage, maybe they would consider donating to the cause instead of rebuilding one.
Just a couple thoughts.

Been talking with Rick Arflin about the truck and donating something for the past week or so. Looks like Ralph Hayes Toyota is stepping up to the plate and donating a power steering pump and helping on some special pricing for any other OEM items. I'm sure Heather will fill us in.

Yes, Marshall...you are the master! I talked to Rick today and he's sending the PS pump and maybe "a couple of things on the list." Thanks for getting him the list!!! He's also giving us a super special deal on any parts we need to buy.
Ralph Hayes and Rick Arflin come through again!!!!
I'll add to this. If anyone wants to donate parts and they don't happen to have them laying around, if you call Rick and tell him the parts are for the truck, have him ship the parts to me (he has my info.) and ask him for the super special deal, he might honor the super special price for you. Then you can get your tickets from Upstate and donate parts at a VERY reasonable price. I don't know if Rick will do this, but if someone wants to try, it'd be worth it.

have y'all figured out the rear bumper yet?
my offer of making some rear quarter sliders is pretty contingent on what i'd have to work around in terms of a bumper...

We haven't decided on a bumper. LCHamma has a bumper that we might try to retrofit, but I haven't seen it and we haven't figured out if it will work.
As of right now, we are bumperless.

For the front valance, I do not have one off a 62 but i do have all the needed parts to put some 60 series round eyes on the truck. Core support (blue) grill headlight doors and valance (blue). I am tying to sell them for $100. If you want them for this truck I would donate them. Let me know
