OBDII Scanner for Rover

Howdy...

My neighbor (they guy with the Rover) needs to run an OBDII scan of his Rover. It will turn over but not crank.

Does anyone have a scanner that will work on a Rover? Aren't the scanners fairly generic?

Thanks

I know advance auto or Autozone will scan them for you if bring the rig to a store. Maybe you can rent one as well?

Gehn, you are a smart guy, you should realize that since we are talking about a Rover it means it can't move under its own power!!!!

He wanted me to tow him but I frowned upon that. I'll have him check about a rental.

Yes, they have free loaners that you leave a deposit for.

Most likely if you know the year and model you can find on the internet how to pull the codes from the ecu with no need for a scan gauge.

I have an OBD2 scanner ya'll can borrow. It reads and clears.
I have a book for all codes as well. Let me know.
Works on any OBD2 car. I've used it on a couple of different makes/models.
