Club Tune-Up HAMOM
We have some HAMOM time coming up. Is anyone interested in a Club Tune-Up HAMOM?
We could:
- replace spark plugs
- change oil
- change air filter
- adjust timing
- adjust valves
- adjust clutch
- adjust kick-down cables on 62's
- adjust toe-in
- etc
This isn't a fancy Club HAMOM but I think a good many members would be able to take advantage. No date set yet or location. I could have it at my house but I'm a little limited on space. Any takers?

I'd be interested, but it would depend on location and dates.
I have all my tune-up stuff sitting in the living room and the has hinted more than once for me to get it done.

Since tune-ups aren't too dirty why don't we do a Club HAMOM Tune-up day plus dinner afterwards? I have a spare bedroom that is available and a couch plus plenty of floor space and tent space outdoors.
Lets start looking at dates...maybe sometime in late June or July? We have GSMTR mid-June. I have interest from OB, John Lee and Boot maybe. If we only have a handful of people showing up I'll try to set a date that works for everyone.
Ideas?

I can get my hands on as much amsoil stuff if anyone is interested, after I get the 80 rolling again I am swapping all fluid over. I can order fluids in bulk and do the dealer price thing for the club if anyone is interested in swapping over to full syn.....

That sounds like a good idea! I run Mobil 1 now in my FJC but am not adverse to putting amsoil in, especially at a discount! Woohoo!!
How much advance warning do you need to place a bulk order?

I'd say at least a week or two, I planned on doing 5w-30 in the synth xl, I can get it by the gallon for 20.35 w/o shipping and 75w-110 gear oil for diffs, I planned on getting a 5 gal pail for ~$200 if more is required I can get that too if people want tranny fluid I can get that as well, for those with lockers they make slip lock eliminator to kill the pesky click click click when turning, all ideas I thought i'd throw out there. Oh and one more thing I can get NGK plugs and wires at cost......

We could do it Aug 1. We have a monthly meeting scheduled for that date but we could easily kill two birds with one used oil filter.
That date is tentative. We could bump it up if several people suggest an earlier date and location. I can only host about 3 trucks at my house. I could easily see needing space for 6.

Well if anyone wants amsoil, just let me know either PM me or call and I will get whatever you desire. You can send me money via paypal or just pay me when it gets here whichever. Like I said I can also do NGK plugs and plug wires if interested......

I'm going to do my best to be there. I have a graduation party that evening that I have to attend and it will take me a couple of hours to get back.
How early are we getting started?

I have tools enough to get me into some good trouble, but specialized tools you may want to bring. I got a couple jacks 2 pairs of stands, a couple drain pans maybe 3.
The pool is up and running, tile around the edges arnt pretty. a little over 9' deep at the deepest with a diving board, if anyone wants to go for a swim. We are currently building a playset for my daughter, so if you have kids there are things for them to do. BYOB too

Would an exhaust minifold gasket be too ambitious?

That's Lenny's call as it is 'his' HAMOM - but - what type of replacement manifold gasket do you have - OEM or Remflex? Why was your old manifold leaking? Where the intake and exhaust apart? If so you might need to get them planed.
If your intake and exhaust don't need to be planed and you have a good replacement gasket you should be able to do this in 4 hours when you add in the beer drinking and shenanigans. If you start breaking bolts it could be much longer - and louder!
