So I am thinking about this trip...but it will be a gametime decision. I'll ask the same question Carp did...will that be an issue with camping. Already it seems the sites are filling up. It would just be me (I think).

a few have larger sites...and you can reserve a site and cancel it and still get a refund up to i think 24 hours in advance....check to be sure.

there are some sites that will hold two or more tents so can find you a spot.

Next time, we can get the group camping spot (we can check it out while we're there) It holds up to 75 people for $40 a night. Not sure about the amenities though.

yep that would be great...did not know there was one up there. Then again I thought this would be like most the other runs this past year.....with only 3-4 rigs showing up. Who knew we would be bordering on 17 rigs and 25+ bodies in attendance on Saturday?

I offered up a part of our site to Carp and anyone else that can squeeze in. My site details say that up to 8 people can stay, but only two vehicles. So that may be the real issue, parking vehicles legally.

the sites are close enough you can unload your gear and park with someone else nearby and not be an issue....some actually have a good bit of space for vehicles.

We have room for additional vehicles/folks as well. We will have the Kimberly and 1 vehicle.

We'll have some extra space too probably. I've invited Andy Smith but he'll probably go back to Charlotte for the night.
Site 50 next to the bath house. Far away from Brock and his latrine hole. But no electric, you know, roughing it. Course there's 110 on the FJC.

I think Brock is out. the post Rick put up quotes the rules as : Domestic pets only!

Anyway, I'm doing everything I can to make this one. Even if Ive got to rob a 7-11. Got Sunday off work and a buddy of mine from work may be making the trip as well. Might need some space. Ill be pulling the 40 with my pickup wich is about 20 feet long plus the trailer. At least I can sleep in the back if need be.

We may be able to get away with him if we muzzle him around camp.

All right all right. Then this time I won't poop in your fire pit.
But no promises about peeing on tires.

Trails were solid this past weekend. You guys should have a blast. Kodak Rock is looking even more menacing than it was eve a few months ago.

the group camp is def the way to go if you can. All 3 of them there at Badin Lake are pretty big. You can primitive camp at site on the trails and right off the access road too if you want. We had a really nice site all weekend right off of road 576 by the turn off to go to most of the trail heads.

Enjoy

Josh is right, the trails have changed quite a bit. The ledge just before Kodak on Rocky Mtn. Loop has gotten real nasty.

They are both slowly getting a little more teeth to them but still very doable in a stock truck. Patrick (cruiser man) walked both of them in his stock 80 with street tires.

So is there anyone going from ATL besides Rick that can help with getting some bumpers swapped with some coming from Charleston?

6 more days.....cant wait to get all of us together as I think this will be the first large gathering of both LC and UC members so far.... we ought to try and do this once a year in addition to annual meeting.

If anyone wants to share cell numbers just in case you need assistance....PM me and will keep a list and give you mine as well.

So I can't make this one. I'm bummed, but with the house on the market, we've got to get some things around the house done, and as I'm the main do-er, I'm required to be home.

As a side note, would anyone be willing to pick up some shackles from Doc and bring them up, and maybe someone from UC can bring them back to me? They won't take up too much space, I promise.

Won't be able to make this one and I hate it but that does mean I have a free campsite for any UC'er that needs one. I have already paid for campsite 19 so if some one is in need of a camp site just shoot me a PM

you guys have a blast and take lots of pics
