No reservations at Barley's. But, with two months notice I wonder if they would hear us out?

If I can get a driver then I don't mind showing up an hour or two early, having some beers, and getting in line for a large table.
PS: I'm also working up some HAMOMs... and there will be more events coming, especially after the first of the year (aka: deer season is over)

B/c of the new seasonal closure at Tellico. IIRC Tellico will be closed the first 3 or so months of the year in 2009. We will have to wait and see what happens in the future with closures @ Tellico.

If you decide to do Gulches on Jan 17, Nathan (35inchoverdrive) and I will drive up from Columbia in his FJ60.

Sounds good! I'm leaning towards Gulches right now since I don't know much about the GA place. It might be good to check out new places when the weather is a bit nicer.

I've got a call into them, and expect to hear back from them Friday, hopefully. To be perfectly honest with y'all though, I am leaning towards suggesting Gulches, as well. More details to come soon.

Sounds good Carp. Gulches is close and some of the Columbia crew could make it also. I just have to keep away from the trees.

I am bringing my cousin, Chris, to the meeting tomorrow. You met him at the Ralph Hayes BBQ.

Where is the ORV park in GA? Can my FJ Cruiser do the trails there or at the Gulches? I'll put the date on the calendar even if watching the experts. May learn something.

I don't know much to anything about the ORV park in GA but a stock FJC can have plenty of fun at Gulches. The parks is set up nice so you can have your fun and then park your vehicle and ride w/ others if you want.

The Gulch
Not too far for LC folks as well. Might be some mossy low country folks could make that location.

Yep we are heading up on Monday morning unless I go up Sunday and camp. Have to see what the consensus is here in Lowcountry.

edit: Just checked the other thread...sorry.
Is Heather's HAMOM in April?
How's the "pre-GSMTR" HAMOM schedule looking? Any time left? Don't know if I can get the lift paid for by then, but if I do I definately need some help.

I'll consolidate all events ASAP. If you need a lift installed we can do it one evening late into the night if we have to.

okay...but I will recommend in the future that you just add the events to the calendar initially, and then post a link to the home page. No sense in doing it twice all the time. I can also change the view on homepage from a calendar to a list of upcoming events if that is preferred.
I'll ad the events when I get home at the end of the week...

10-4 - I'll try to go ahead and do it today if I can track down my username/password. Sorry about that.
I do prefer the list of events. It is easier for me to get a good idea of everything that is going on instead of looking at one month at a time.

Thanks Gehn.
Another update (I'll fix the calendar on this one - I swear!) - Heather's HAMOM has been moved back a week to April 18th b/c of Easter.

On the June 6th meeting. Could we have a GSMTR prep meeting. Maybe have as many of the volunteers or at least the leaders all get together and do a dry run of the event and go over schedules.
Maybe do it at someones house and have plenty of beer on hand.
I'd be up for doing this at my house. I think we would need to start early. I don't think 2 hrs would be enough.
I could cook Hamburgers and hotdogs and have everyone else bring a dish.
Just a thought.
