How many 40's are in greenville county?
I've been doing some legal searching to see if I could find all the 40 owners in greenville county and possibly send out a postcard about the club.
It was just an idea.
I found out how many there are. I know where they live.
Come up with a guess of how many current owners.
I'll give something away for the closest answer.

Long time no post for me
I'd bet that your search only pulled up those that are currently registered...
There are probbably another 50% that are hiding in shops, barns, and garages that you won't find (I've got 1.5)
My guess is there are 17 registered in Greenville County.

Have six years of history. If your cruiser has not been up and running in 6 years you should be whipped and beaten with some of Chucks parts.

64k imported to the US from 74 forward. There were probably another 25k or so from earlier years.
Means 89k made it here? Let's assume 50% still are on the road. That's 45k total still running.
Greenville has a metro population of 600k. That's .2% of the US population. That means the average is that 89 FJ40's are in Metro Greenville. I'd guess that UC at least adds 20% to the average... There must be exactly 107 FJ40's?
That Boombapslappy guy beat me to the right number though.

You forgot that us in SC we wheel our cruisers so most have been sent to the scrapper by this time.
The correct number of registered FJ40 owners in Greenville county is 44. Still a lot more that I expected.
Oldest is a 68 newest is an 80. Basically there are 37 potential 40 owners who may or may not know anout UC. BUt they will this month. We are going to send out a letter to all of them inviting them to next months meeting. Ought to be fun to see a lot of 40's hanging around.
There are only 4 55 owners in Greenville. 3 I know and are in the club. The last one I saw yesterday and it's for sale.

That really surprised me. Glad to hear there are still that many around when you look for them via registrations.

Marshall - if you are talking about the green 40 on Laurens Rd it originally was marked at $8,000 but one of the new joins who came to Barleys (I can't recall his name right now - nice guy - officer w/ G'ville) said it was now in the hundreds - would need to confirm.
It would probably be worth that for the diesel!
