You might want to try a place on Hwy 11 called "A nice little motel" or something like that. It has only a handful of rooms but is pretty close to Alan's. # is 864-878-9949.

Got the video from Richmond Gear today on how to set up a differential. Watched it already. Very cool and very well done. Will be good to watch it Sat night.
Also remember I have 160 dollars worth of SOR gift cards to give away.

Three of the tall slender containers. Really only need about 2.5.
Weather for this weekend is looking awesome. High Sat is 79 and the lows in the low 60's. Perfect weather to camp and wrench in.

well i have to play it by ear. the 80 is the DD now and having issues at that so if i can make it, it will be to watch, camp, and drink your beer Can i still come in a camry? it is a toyota? Best case scenario would be getting my gas tank in by friday afternoon, so possibly getting up there after your lunch and just working on the parking brake, and watching to do the rear axle coming up soon.
Oh and if your bored (and somewhat sober) theres a piggy third member in pieces that could be assembled

Come when and if you can. WIll have a beer on ice for ya. Anyone who wants to come stop by and just hang out is more than welcome. I'll be camping both nights there. You don't have to fix anything. There might even be a little scouting involved.
Looking forward to sitting around a fire and talking cruisers up in the mountains.

I will be there sometime Saturday. Don't really need an axle rebuild, but I have the kit. Do need to drink some beer . . . it's been a tough couple of weeks. May camp out Saturday night.

We have a honey hole we need to scout out before Capt Jim gets here in a few weeks. I'd like to make sure it still has access. It's an xxxx chock full of anything from easy stuff to stuff I don't even think the Florida Boys would touch.
Amazing thing is it's right in Captains back yard.

Sweet!!
Anyone know if there'll be a way to get the transmission/transfer case outta my truck up there, or is that asking too much? I need to try to order the part, and just trying to see if I need to rush it or not.

I'm not a 60 expert but dropping your t-case/tranny should be easier than my 55 b/c you have a detachable cross-member. I would go ahead and order the part and try to have it in time. I won't be bringing anything to work on so besides crawling under my FJC for a few minutes I'll be happy to help.
Should I bring the engine hoist?

I can bring the tranny jack. But it's not the best piece of equiptment.
I would think the best way to fix that seal would just to take the t-case off. Having never done a split case I'm not sure how hard it would be. Might be a good time to break out the fsm and do some reading. I'm gonna be doing that tonight to make sure I cover everything on the axle rebuild.

I'd like to come up for a bit and learn what I can, have a cpl/three beers and tell some lies. I just need to see what all I'm doing this weekend.
