| Cullowhee Winter Campers, line up Matt and I are trying to get a head count for all those who want to warm themselves by an open fire instead of a gas stove.
In addition, we want to know who needs gear, if they are lacking in that department, but still want to camp. I have a couple extra tents and tarps. So please post up if you are a camper on this trip.
I would also like to know who has a winch on their rig. Current List of Campers Friday Night (must be able to meet us Friday 12PM, otherwise you must crash at the cabin Friday night.

FJCRUZR(maybe)-----------good on gear, winch, FRS The rendezvous point will be same as last time, the Park next to the BP on 107 right across from Caney Fork Rd. From there, top off the tanks/gas cans and we'll convoy up. IF you cannot make the AM meeting place, then you will be asked to join Trollhole's group at the cabin. Meet at the BP at noon or go to Trollhole's cabin (he'll have more details on that). Marshall will decide on the time/place for ALL to meet up on Saturday, so guys can wheel with the other group -or- abandon camping for a night in the cabin and vice versa. Update 2/15: WE ARE MEETING AT THE PARK ADJACENT TO THE BP AT HIGH NOON ON FRIDAY.
Lats/Longs for the BP: N35° 17.820' W83° 8.714'
If coming from Sylva/Webster, the BP is about 7 miles south of the Hwy 116 intersection.
If coming from Cashiers/Glenville, it's about 3 miles north from the intersection of Hwy 281.
I am volunteering to do pancakes & sausage patties Saturday morning for all campers.
Dan's got breakfast covered for Sunday morning: eggs & bacon.
Steen's picking up OJ, plastic, plates. Will have FRS radios to channel 10 and CB radios to channel 4.

| Steen, I should have a little extra room, if you can strap the stuff down until we meet (for breakfast perhaps). I'm planning on packing pretty light this time. Quote:

| If by some miracle I can make it I will have more than enough room for gear and/or people to ride. I just need to get the truck running and see if I will have the boys or not.

That would be great if you do have some room... maybe we can coordinate food together which would mean I could leave a cooler at home. Also, if we can coordinate stoves/lanterns etc... so as a group we don't double pack things?
Guess I'm going to have to get in the market for a hitch mounted carrier or swing carrier of some kind.

Schweet stuff.

I wanted to see how many rigs we have, then we'll count the smaller gear like stoves, lanterns, coolers, etc...
I will continue to update the first post to make our gear list easy to find. |

| I am going to be a game time decision based on the forestcast 24 hours out. Marshall's cabin is going to sound awfully nice if the weather is typical for that time of year up there.
I won't camp if it's going to be in the teens or below again. Did that last time up there and realized I am officially getting old.
I do have tons of extra gear and a winch though and will bring extra stuff if needed, especially since I'll have the room.

| I am glad to see we still have enough cruiserheads manly enough to actually do a little camping when it gets below 32 degrees

I only need to be manly for one person (my wife) other than that it really doesn't matter.
I have tons of gear for those who camp. Down sleeping bags, Tent, Thermarest, Camp chairs, Stove etc. If you need something let me know. Also the club Canopy or my large tarp can be used. Just let me know if ya'll want to use any of them. |
