My favorite part of Jezzabelle . . .

is the sticker in front of the passenger seat: "Jump In, Shut Up, Hold On." That's worth a lot right there.

Jezzebelle and Cruiser Blasphemy

I am currently negotiating importing a Series III Land Rover in very similar condition, for a small amount less than the asking price for Jezzebelle. Let me know if no-one steps up to the plate and I might consider picking her up to keep her in the club - albeit she'd mostly stay garaged at my home in Florida .

I was considering the Land Rover or a very nice FJ40 or other diesel import that I could drive and not modify in the least bit. Then make the Sputnik40 a full trailer queen...

This 78 might be my salvation from carrying out Cruiser Blasphemy.

Brake parts for my Piggie

I'm looking for some brake parts to rebuild my Piggie's rear drums for her June 23 HAMOM. I *think* I need the following...

4 wheel cylinders new or rebuilt
4 brake shoes w/ springs
I hope I don't need drums but if anyone has any...

Please let me know what you have and cost - PM works well or cell @ 787-4504.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm not going to make it to the URE this weekend. I just got back from a 4 day wheeling trip in Callalantee, and have to do the family thing this weekend.

Do you need some parts delivered to the URE?

Am looking for a project trail 40.

Just really need frame / tub / front and rear ends.

And the tub can have some rust as most do.

Thanks all of my southern brothers.

Hey Krazy I have a front cowl free for the taking.....it's got the windshield frame on it too. It's in decent shape the only major rust is the floor below the pedals. But it's got knobs on it and the pedals. It's from an older 40 but you're more than welcome to come and look at it. I can take some pics and email it to ya if you're interested. I also have some other parts too. Good luck

I wish i would of known that before i rebuilt my 45. I could of used that so i would not of had to put a different type of dash / guages in it.

I will keep you in mind though.

The gutters I have are all attached to the tops still. It would probably be easiest to just switch out fiberglass. I've heard those pop rivets are a nightmare. If I have to start selling the tops off as pieces I let you know. I'm trying to get some cash together for a Pakistan top and clear off my back patio for the misses. These land cruiser tops really look nice around the pool/patio when we have guests over.

Anyone interested in a 2F, 4-speed or split case from the '86 FJ60?

the truck has 261k on the clock but I don't know the history.
2F: complete with all smog and a/c compressor(might not work). powersteering pump and alt may or may not be included. one cyl (#4) supposedly has low compression (105) and I will try to confirm that if some one has a compression tester i can borrow.
H42: There is a little bit of noise coming from the input bearing only noticable at idle but it shifts and drives well.
Split T-Case: good as far as I know.

Over all they run/drive great! just got back from a 3,200 mile trip with no problems and it's currently my driver.

I will be pulling them out in a week or so. Prices to be determined. If anyone is interested, the cruiser will be availble to test drive at the BBQ this weekend before I pull the powertrain. let me know!

prices posted...http://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/165722-86-fj60-powertrain.html

I am selling a '78 rolling chassis. Frame has new rear gussett and "bumper" crossmember. Passenger side rear 6" or so has been "repaired". The driver's side could have used the same repair in my opinion.

Engine:
2F w/ stock carb/dizzy/etc. Just got it fired up tonight with a little gas in the carb, no fuel tank connected. Here's a real short video I took w/ my phone to show it fired right up after sitting a couple of years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPNOExUuOFg

I'll have cold compression numbers in a couple of days. The cluster had 44,377 on the clicker, but I have absolutely no idea if that is 144, 244, or even original to this cruiser.

Transmission:
Stock 4-spd. Probably need synchros, like every other tranny of this vintage. I have never driven this beast, but PO says it shifted fine.

TC:
Stock 4-spd case. Shifts easily 2/4 and hi/lo.

Axles:
Stock. Disc front, drum rear. Knuckles are clean. Warn hubs.

Stock wheels & $hitty roller tires.

$1,200 w/ VIN tag (matches frame)
$1,100 w/o VIN

REAR SILL ASSEMBLY SEEN IN PHOTOS NOT INCLUDED

FJ40 Fenders, Turn Signals, and Running Boards

OEM pair of FJ40 fenders bought new around 1999. Mustard yellow. Left is near perfect except for my having bent the inner lip up to ensure it wouldn't chunk tires, and the support is pulled off - other than that perfect. Right suffered from a roll - the out top edge is bent down a little - but could be fixed easy with some patience, the inner has a small dent I made to clear my battery tray. Solid, newer and no rust to deal with. $175 - could deliver to Tellico in August.

FJ40 front turn signals. One original 76, good shape a little loose at the pivot and the other bought new in 1999, with just a few blemishes from when it fell off on trail one with the wiring still intact and bounced off the tire a few times. Looks as new. $90 obo for both.

76 FJ40 running boards. Dings and scratches - sand blasted, marine epoxy primered and painted PPG mustard yellow in 99 - has holes drilled in left side for my highlift base. Decent solid shape. $40 for both.

Everything sold in pairs - can deliver to Tellico in August. Bill.
