40th in the Driveway!
Well guys, after almost a year of looking, flip flopping between wanting a FZJ80 or FJ Cruiser and what seemed like multiple dead ends, I finally got a LC and can no officially be a member! I'm still recovering from yesterday and only have a few pictures, but here is a quick break down
Woke up at 4:00am yesterday and flew to Cincinnati Airport and picked up my 1997 40th Anniversary Antique Sage Pearl FZJ80, #1949. I had to wait for them to replace a ERG valve so I didn't get on the road back to Charleston till 2:00. Needless to say it was a long ride back by myself but had brought along my Sirius to listen to a little Howard. I didn't get home till 2:00am.
Only a few minor issues I need to check out with it, Glenn, I'll probably be coming to see you in the next week or so if that's alright.
Here are a few quick pictures with my phone.
and...the magic button:

You mean Cummins, right?
"Cummings" what Brock does on BBQboy.

Wow. Nice 80. I thought going to Greenville to get my 80 was a long drive.
Seriously though, I feel your pain with the long drive. I brought my car back from Iowa City last summer.
It was well worth the drive as your trip from Cincinatti will be once you start mod'ing that thing.

I thought you were broke? How can you afford to go there. You should give Benke or Brock the money for the shirts instead of spending money on that crap/

I was actually just talking to Patrick about it just now LOL. I'm thinking about it this weekend and see if I can talk the wife into trading in the xB for the FJ. Let you know next week!

and to think....you can have all the basic mods that should have been done by toyota at factory on your own first hand and know for sure it is done right.
Good luck...is it the one with the Gobi rack on top?
