Have some for us...

Hey Y'all..
Have a good time this weekend at the boil. We won't make it this year.

Friday would have been Cassady's 18th birthday, so we don't really feel like being fun and festive. I wasn't really sure how we would feel, so I was leaving it up in the air. Now that it is here, it is clear that we won't be much fun at all to be around.

Feel free to check out her memorial website again:
Socastee High - Cassady Jones-French

Have fun and drive carefully!
Remember to take time to appreciate all of the simple things all around you.
Tell someone you love them.
Steal shrimp off your neighbor's plate when they aren't looking!

C'est la Vie,
The French's

Greg,

I won't be at the Boil but my thoughts will be with you and your family.

I know its not the same but I lost my father (he was young) 2.5 years ago. It gets better as time passes but it is always good to remember...

Take care.

Steve

Good luck with the beach, shrimp, ferry and the crazy people from North Carolina. I am going to try and fix some of the problems on my 62 so I can atleast drive it around town this weekend.

Welcome to the club I've been saying that nearly every weekend for years now, one day the rebirth will be complete.... well we never actually finish this adiction always some new idea so lets modify to at least drivable. Luck with your fix this week end I too will be cruiser wrenching this weekend.

Man how true, I still feel your hurt and was moribud the weekend of the annual, that was one year from Trina's death too. I love you and want you to hug all those near you that you love for the old doc. Keep going on, it does get better. (Well actually it just hurts less with time, the loss is always there)

Tried to post it to the Boil thread but someone has that locked where it looks like you and David are the only ones who can post. But yeah I have to cover my assignment this weekend can't go to NC for the boil, could have gone next week end as I had taken that off from last year, but the date for the boil changed with the location change and I'm out of luck. Maybe next year: again I will need to know next years date soon this year, to schedule time off for attendance next year. I have to schedule in Dec for the next year. LOts of luck and fun, take lots of pic's want to see all the fun. Well all that's legal to post inSC! Doc

Yeah Brock locked the thread when he left Friday morning for Carolina Beach. Obviously he couldn't live with the thought of anyone talking him smack on the board without being able to defend himself (i.e. retalitate.)
Hopefully he will reopen it when he gets back home or someone will start a new one with pics etc.
It was a lovely time, sorry for any of you that had to miss it. We had lots of raffle items and door prizes (thanks Brock, great job), fabulous food (thanks Dave) and got mucho opportunities to test our foul weather gear and shelter fabrication ingenuity (thanks David, Dustin et al.)
Weather was lovely, we had quite a variety: we had wind, rain, wind and rain, heavy wind, heavy rain, heavy wind and rain. Oh yeah and while we were asleep it was lovely and calm. BUT: Saturday night it cleared off and calmed down and we had a perfect beach evening sitting around a huge fire and sharing drinks, smokes and lies.

That is okay...the sand, 30 knot winds, and rain would have made it near impossible for you to drive and steer safely your 40 without your wife taking over for you once you entered Freeman Park.
