Tire discounts

There has been alot of talk of tire purchases lately.
I have access to a company out of town that will deliver INSTOCK tires to me twice a day @ no charge for delivery to THE SHOP.
With that being said, theres always going to to be an online distributor that will be extremely competitive on tire prices. Keep in mind that theres little to no profit on tires sales in itself, as it takes a $7500.00 tire machine and a $5000.00 tire balancer and wheel weights to support the balancer, to be in the tire business as well as the typical customer gripes about ride quality, vibration, tires pull (tire conicity) nails, road hazard warranty's etc.....
I have the $7500.00 tire machine but do not have a balancer as i've been shopping for a paticular wheel balancer machine and haven't come across a good enough deal to warrant the purchase.
Do the math: $12,500.00 worth of equipment at $10.00 to $15.00 mark up per tire plus $10.00 to $15.00 for dismount and balance per tire, TIRES TAKE UP ALOT OF ROOM NEW AND OLD, DISPOSING OF OLD TIRES (NOT FREE) Tires are not a lucrative business for me. The volume required to pay for the equipment, hassles and supplements are really not worth the trouble.
I can offer ONLY LCLC Members tires at absolute cost,(AS I DID FOR BROCK) PLUS DISPOSAL FEE (REQUIRED BY STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA) and sales tax.
I'm planning to get off some cash soon and purchasing a very high quaility balancer soon. I will offer dismount, mount and balance for roughly $12.00 to $15.00 a tire.
THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH AS YOU CAN SEE THE INVESTMENT IS LARGE FOR VERY LITTLE RETURN. I'm only putting this out there for the members who want tires.
My business is on absolute fire lately and i think some of it's due to the LCLC members here putting out a kind word for me and my attention to detail in my workmanship, and just want to pass along any savings to them i can in tire purchases.

I have been telling all of my Lexus customers about you. Hope that helps some.

I know you have a certain balancer in mind. I've seen several on Craigslist very reasonable. I almost considered buying one a couple of months ago.($350) But I don't have a place to put it.

Let me know when you get one,I've put 3 different sets of tires on the 62, balanced them all with the same balancer, and they all have a vibration at the same place.

I'll be looking your way when I get a set of NEW tires. The same ones Brock got, and BBQBOY

I know what you mean Glenn. My granddad has a tire shop in Conway. It has been in the family since like 1950's. He makes 0 money running it now. It is now strictly a place for him to go to everyday so he doesn't sit around at home and slowly die. All of his stuff has been paid for years ago, and he used to be into big industrial tires. The only profit he makes now is renting out his second shop to the big Michelin industrial tire guys. He had one of the only big rig alignment machines around so he got a good deal. He charges $25 a tire to mount/dismount/balance because he says it's not worth his time for less. He figures if he can't make a $100 on a set of tires, he'll just sit in the shop and watch the folks drive by. So your price is very reasonable, and I hope everyone in the club realizes what you are doing for us. Thanks.

Since your feeling so well after wheling the 40 without a working horn we'll never know will we? Tristan showed us whether intentional or not as i could always hear his horn blow when the steering wheel was wrapping his knuckles and whipping his aaass.

No need for the P/S install as we're built like a bull with large arms(POPEYE ) or OLIVEOIL his

one thing that is very important in manual steering offroad...never put thumbs inside steering wheel ...keep them all on outside so when it spins out of your hand it does not break your thumb. Learned that driving deuces and 5 tons 20 years ago in Europe. OUCH....

4- form of glycerol for fuel; kind of like TNT but not so delicate
