Gulches Day Trip? the 11th

Who would be able to go to Gulches ORV for a day trip on the 11th of July. I'm thinking about going and I think there may be a couple of the GDI guys going too (Redirecting you to The GDI Mofo).

Steven

Hey, PittbullCruiser and her husband are going to Uwharrie that weekend...he has a rock crawling 4Runner and she has an FJCruiser....they are looking for people to go wheel with them that weekend before he deploys overseas again. That is weekend of our club HAMOM in SUMTER so most of us will be wrenching.

PM me your email and will give to them to contact you....

I'd love to go wheeling, but my schedule is full for now.
Hopefully by Sept I'll be able to go somewhere

Come on, someone here has to be free Sat. From the looks of things I'm going to be wheel with a pair of Early Bronco's. One trail rated and One "show rated". I wish there were a few Toyota's there.

just bad timing buddy...it is our monthly club meeting...plus just had GSMTR at Tellico and getting ready for Lowcountry Boil in two months. Plus there is a group doing Uwharrie....which I prefer over Gulches to be truthful.

Be sure to put this up on Upstate forum as well.....if not done so already.

Thanks for the invite but I've already got a couple of others going. Also URE is a longer drive for me/them for a day trip.

Went to Gulches and had some what of a good time. The only thing that made it not so much of a good time is that the 3.0 is knocking really bad now. The engine lived a long and fun life and after I had thought I brought back from the dead a few months ago. So I'll be pulling everything out and preping for the 4.3L chevy swap.

Looks like fun. Did you make it up the ledge?

Yes I made it up the ledge and the Bronco didn't. It's also where/when my engine started knocking. At first it was just around 2500/3500rpm but got allot worst later. The yellow Bronco took the route around the ledge and snapped a front axle shaft. The black bronco twisted a brand new long travel drive shaft. They both had spares and we spent the whole day there, I rode shotgun in the black Bronco. I think there is some video of my 4Runner but I haven't seen it yet.
