HAMOM CANCELLED-July 11, 2009 Monthly Meeting

HAMOM Cancelled due to personal concerns that DOC needs to take care of with family.....

We are now meeting at Bessingers BBQ on Savannah Hwy in Charleston SC...

Show time will be around 12:00 Noon......grab some food inside and either eat in or come outside where we are parked in rear. Maybe we can get the outside picnic area reserved so we dont have to take up room for other paying customers in the air conditioner...

Will eat....have meeting...and then check out our rigs and whatever else is needed.

1-DBENKE
2-BROCK
3- Tristan
4- WhitenH
5- Zack
6- Scott Shelly
7- BBQ Boy
8- ??

Bless you I do look better in a cruiser than the jeep and ford truck I have been driving. I will be home and arrange a grill this time in advance so we will have burgers, dogs brats potato salad and beer in the fridge/cooler. BT is ready to bust off (start) just needs all her fluids and to be drivable the carb linkage hooked up. I plan on having a stanless exhaust put in by a shop in Sumter and having her running will make that much easier. To fill out the rest the entire interior will need to be taped and preped for the liner application (read lots of fairly light sanding) If we get that done then there is always putting on the front fenders and more sanding and filling on the body. Painting will be in stages with the bedliner gray first in the interior , The bedliner black on the lower fenders and rockers and bumper. Then regular paint color on the upper body so all this painting can;t be done in one session but whatever we can get done will be appreciated and will get BT on the road sooner. Thanks for thinking of me and the willingness to help on BT. Doc

sounds like a plan...no reason to make every Hamon at your place go from 9am until 4am the next morning again. LOL

Nothing wrong with working late to help out the crew, I know tristian appreciated the effort. But yeah there are about 6 stages of painting and assembly to do so at this hammon lets just get BT running and drivable with the interior ready for John to work his painting magic with the gray rhino liner in the inside. That wont press us to bad so we can have a good meeting to discuss the boil and concentrate on our adult beverages. Doc

Being that i'm already booked out a week in advance, ( i typically only run 1 to 2 days out for appointments) I don't forsee being able to get away for that weekend. But if the schedule slows down i'll post up and let the forum know.

HAMOM Cancelled

HAMOM is cancelled unless Glenn can host again. Doc has a family emergency and cannot host event at his place this weekend and he apologizes to all.

Please keep Doc and his family in your thoughts....

If Glenn is busy we can have regular meeting at someplace in Charleston since August we are going to Myrtle and SPARKS Toyota. I recommend BBQBoys place again as it is easy to find and has lots of parking in rear.

Back to back HAMON here is probably a little much for me as Jenny and I have been swamped here and spending a "day off" so to speak here wrenching would is not high on my agenda right now.
