I know you will do what is right for you or her, but please don't get that baby beemer. The vette is sooooo much more fun. The beemer just seems like it is trying to hard. There are TONS of beemers on the road down here, and vettes stand out to me more. And it's cheaper, ok I am done.

Buy what you wish. I'll see you in the am with that stuff for OCD. Let me know if you aren't going to be there.

Vettes are crap and any man driving one is trying too hard. BMW all the way. my brothers 550i gives Vettes a very hard time.

You obviously haven't driven a new vette. I am sorry but there isn't a 550 on the road that can beat a single C6 in Charleston.

Hey Mike what's the difference between a BMW and a porcupine.

You would thing it was duck season with all the birds flying around the lowcountry lately.

Just a few facts for you:

550i:
1000 lbs. heavier
10 miles per gallon less
100 less horsepower
vette beats it to 60 in 1.2 sec.
Has the aerodynamics of a Taurus

The only hard time your brother is giving any C6 owner is trying to figure out why someone would pay $30k more for that.

Pretty good Jeremy. I drove a new Vette about 1.5 years ago when my brother was trying to decide between it and the BMW. We both liked the BMW and was not impressed with the Vette. Simply because American engineering sucks and in a few years it will rattle more than my 40.

you guys are forgetting one thing.....it is what she wants. She loves her current BMW....she likes the smaller 3 series...our kids are adults... she gets what she wants...it is not me buying her what I want.

She likes what she likes.....she is not trying to impress anyone.

HIJACK OVER.....sorry GLENN.

Just do like my dad did and just buy it and surprise her. He came home one fri. afternoon and handed her the keys. She said she would have never ever picked the vette if he took her shopping, but after haveing it handed over to her and driving it for the past year she said she doesn't ever want any other car.

They were shopping for 335i's, G35's, and G37's. I suggested the vette and it went from there.

They were also going to wait on a new camaro RS/SS, and were also looking at a Shelby GT500. Those are 2 of the biggest wastes of money in sports cars, and I thank God they didn't go down that road.

All I had to do was show him what a GT500 was selling for 12 months after it was new. 50% depreciation sucks. The vettes had only lost about 10% in 12 months.

Oh yeah, my boss had a 750 and it was in the shop every 2 weeks until he traded it 9 months later. My brothers 335i died on him 3 days after buying it. He has had it in the shop twice in 6 months. The vette has only seen the shop for oil changes. 25,000 in the first year. You can say American engineering sucks, but the C6 is nothing like the old C5's. Those things almost ruined the car. The C6 has revived the cars image.

HIJACK OVER>
I saw Heather's (k9crazy) 55 this weekend at GSMTR and it is sweet. At least as sweet as a 55 gets.
She may sell it as she's been offered a pretty penny for it.
I've seen the pics of Stu'sand it looks good also, but I've never seen one like Heathers. It looks like it just came off the showroom.

Looks like the PIG will be with me a little longer as we have sent the gas tank out for cleaning and coating the inside. The body work is going to be put off for a while as the body shop owner is now only operating the shop on a part time basis. We are going to get is driveable for farm use until the body shop can take it.
