OCD asked about 220 plug for a welder. heres a pic of the plug for 220v 30amps.
Damage assesement on my rig was limited to a frozen LH Rear E-BRAKE pivot arm, front diff vent hose slipped off of front diff, a bent eyelet on the trailer hitch, and burnt out headlight bulb.
Did a complete fluid baseline this morning and repaired the e-brake and installed new bulb. SHES'S ready to go again. Amazing a 238000mile vehicle can drive that comfortably at 75-80mph, wheel it hard and drive another 250+miles back home. True testiment to a 80.
As for the projects and repairs for the HAMON, just post up so i can have an idea on the work flow.

i'd like to try to diagnose my elocker problem and maybe adjust the rear brakes...hopefully that'll be all I need... Unless y'all wanna swap out diffs in the 4runner

cutting wheel to remove portion of my front body mount...then tack weld and hammer bend a new piece of steel to box it in with final welding to seal the deal. primer and paint with rattle can. I will do the cutting...and I already have the steel to use as well unless someone tells me it is too thick...it is the plate stuff you can buy in lengths at tractor supply.

if my swing away carrier comes in we can add it but that is a job I can do alone sometime or with one other person in driveway...dont have to wast a HAMOM to do it really unless we are looking for work.

I recommend we start at 9am to get as much done as possible before 1pm...then go to lunch and have meeting over lunch...if DBENKE agrees. Then wrap up what is left afterwards for those that can stay.

LexTech Automotive, first drive on right immediately past Hot Wheels on James Island...along the property line actually it appears. THen look for the Land Cruisers on left about 100yds back on left.

Slow down at Signal Point Road...then go past Vet Clinic and Hot Wheels and turn at road with signage with about 10 different businesses listed for a little industrial area.

I dont know if you are from James Island but a lot of people like using the Hot Wheels as a land mark on James Island

no i grew up in Pierpont until 6th grade and then Wadmalaw afterwards....... Only time I went to James Island was for Folly.......Village Inn Pizza....McDonalds.....or looking up some girl I met on beach. LOL Gotta love the 70s

I need to fix a brake master leak if possible and adjust/bleed the brakes....

I wanted to swap the springs front to rear but think I'll wait as I want to have them cleaned and redone before reinstallation...

My brake master is leaking between the big nut on end and the cylinder.....should I try to find a new copper gasker or is there another remedy? Its a slow, slow drip but keeps me from getting the brakes bled properly...

P/N 90430-32052 for the copper gasket for the end of the master cylinder.

OCD when i returned home Sunday in the 80 i noticed that there was oil dripping off of the front axle housing right under the vent opening. Thats when i realized that the vent hose had pulled off. Moral of the story, it may be just as simple as installing a vent hose to the rear axle and extending it up to the underside of the body to eliminate the oil from exiting the axle housing. The later model 40's had a hose installed from the factory but the older ones did not as i don't think they considered that vehicle as a "HIGHWAY DRIVER" when it was produced in that era.

Theres an Old Established resturant named MOM &POPS with new owners who just droped off some new menus earlier this week. Jenny and I used to eat lunch there before they closed last year. We had lunch there this past week, now under new ownership and the cold sandwiches were very good. Beats Subway and Quizno's hands down. Just what we need on the Island. A real sandwich shop, like the good old days of Sub Station II . If the menu appeals to everyone we can have an order submitted and delivered to the shop or just go there. Not sure if some guys might feel a little grungy after a HAMON to sit down in a resturant to eat.

I'll be submitting a large stock order Monday Morning so if anyone knows of anything specific they may need for the HAMON just let me know over the weekend.

Just wanted to remind everyone, as Brock eluded to above, this is our monthly meeting as well as Hamom.....
If you can't afford an entire day for wrenching at the hamom but want to participate in the lunch meeting
I'd say come early lunchtime as the lunch break will probably schedule around the hamom work....

I Just got off the phone with my dealer and they show it as a good number but its not available nor is the rebuild kit or the entire master cylinder. I have a decent assortment of the factory copper and aluminum gaskets, the only way to know is to remove your gasket and match it up.

Spoke with BBQ BOY yesterday and Charleston fj60 today, looks like we'll be doing the front axle/knuckle re-build on BBQ BOY'S 40 along with the tie rod replacement and a lift on Charleston fj60's white 60 series. Diagnosing greenseamans lockers inop and rear brake adjusment (by the way if your vehicle has rear disc brakes theres no adjustment allowed with exception to the e-brake shoes),Brocks wheel well modifacation, and not sure about ocdbeetles repairs, also not sure about dbenkes repairs other than the power window switch parts i have from some salvage switches. I know dbenke has to leave in time to be in Ridgeville that afternoon so we'll need to start as early as possible, dbenkes presence will definately be an asset to us getting this all acomplished. If it comes down to staying late into the evening or even into Sunday thats fine with me. Just want to know what were up against befeore we start, as we all know theres always something that you don't anticipate when working on 20 to 30+ year old vehicles. If i missed anyones needed repairs please post up as you were not excluded intentionally.

I will try to cut my wheel well this week then so all we have to do is weld the flat steel to box it back in....that will save some time. will try to cut the steel for welding up as well unless Glenn has a steel saw that will be faster and straighter than me using cutting wheel.

Brock i have 3" fiberglass cutting wheels along with the air tools to drive them if thats what you are refering to, also acetelene torches. But no metal cutting band saw if thats what you mean.

Hopefully tighten/replace copper washer on brake master to fix leak, bleed brakes....adjust if necessary.....
edit: getting tired of hitting the brakes and finding I've got to pump 5 times to stop or slow down...

The first one to the floor is the scary one.....

I can bring my steel cutoff saw if needed Brock....

edit again: take a peak at the diff vent.....

OCD Can you give me an outside measurement with a micrometer of the OD of that gasket, i realize you can't get the ID without removing it, but that will give me some clue as to if i have one large enough.

I'll see what I can come up with....I've got an old master I can maybe get the end nut off....

On the new installed master, I can't even see the edge of the copper gasket to get a measurement...

OH...new thought....I'll post a request in the 40 section for the size and someone will measure for me.....
