2009 UC Annual Meeting and Election of Officers

Thread from Upstate Cruisers.....posted by EVENTHOUGH (UC President)

http://forum.ih8mud.com/sc-upstate-c...-officers.html

UC holds its Annual Meeting each year Sept-Oct sometime. At the same time we have our Officer elections to see who will run the club for the next year.

How this works is we first have nominations. Please PM or email me @ steve.springs@gmail.com your nominations. If the person you nominate accepts then they will be in the running for that position. The person you nominate has to accept. You may nominate yourself. I'll take nominations until about 2 months out from the Annual and then I'll post up the names in the running for votes.

I'll be stepping down as President next year. It's been real.

Here are the positions up for election.

President
Vice-President
Secretary
Treasurer
Land Management
Safety Officer
Events Officer
Delegate to TLCA

Lowcountry President
Lowcountry Vice-President
Lowcountry Sec/Treasurer
Lowcountry Events Coordinator (possibly two positions)

Hey guys, Steve needs nominations for LCLC officers for next year.
I/we really appreciate all that Ron (Brock) has done for us this year, but unfortunatly he is stepping down.

Think about what the club is about, and what you envision for the future.

I would really like to see us double membership in the next year. I'm not all about numbers, but more members means better attendance at events. Whether that would be trail rides, meetings, HAMOM's, or whatever.

Please give this some serious consideration.

Thanks, David

Thanks David....yeah, I have too many things going on in my life and can't give 100% anymore because of this. I would like to stay involved maybe in the EVENT CO-COORDINATOR role or maybe as our liaison to SPARKS as I spent a long time getting us a sponsor and would like to see it grow and have already started working options for upcoming year with Jamie.

Thanks for all of your support......

Membership

Well Gentlemen I just added my family to your membership list. I reside in Florence, SC and have been watching on mud. Jim finally convinced me into joining. I work for CSXT as an Engineer so I have a hectic schedule. I hope to be able to make some of the meetings. My son Alex is 15 and I want to keep him exposed to other Cruiser addicts like us. We love to hunt, fish, and trail ride together. Just another way to keep our relationship close and another hobbyfor us to do together. Thanks so much for the invite I am excited.

So who's coming to the annual? Would love to see some of you guys and gals up here? Looks like it's also going have some wheeling and camping in the NC mountains tied into it if your up for it.

If you need a place to crash for the weekend I have a couple extra beds.

I was planning on coming up on the next weekend. (Originally scheduled for the 19th.)
I have a Scouting conflict on that weekend. (11-13)
Let me work on that and get back with you.

New plan:

The camping trip with delta will remain the same.

The Annual Meeting is moved back to Sept. 19th.

Very sorry for the confusion. The annual has been on the calander for quite some time and we've (BOD) have decided to keep with the original plan.

We'll make sure we do a better job next year. An email will be sent out shortly regarding the camping trip to Black Balsam as well as the annual. If you do not receive an email, please click here and update your contact info.

FYI, looks like we might make the Boil instead of the annual...crossing fingers. [Or both now, keeping fingers & toes crossed]

There is no end time specifically, but things tend to wind down around 4ish.
