| Tshirts and Stickers All, am in discussion on getting us new stickers that will last more than one heavy dew or bird dropping before running the colors LOL.
We have a logo that was used on last sticker, on shirts and on our webpage. If there is any mutually agreeable minor changes to it that members of Lowcountry Land Cruisers would like to recommend please post them in this thread.
The idea is to get stickers ordered very soon.
Likewise, GregFrench or Belmont mentioned tshirts once before...can we get update on this status and what the next step needs to be?
Lets hold off though until we are sure the logo is the one we are keeping long term. I personally like it but need to make sure we dont want the ring a darker blue or even black....but something that will look good on various backgrounds not just a sticker.
Please vote as it will close in 15 days....thank you. |

| Just to make sure I'm not mistaken Is this it below? I voted change a litte because I'm not sure about the tan color....I'm thinking white with a bolder border.......I think the State will pop a little more with the white replacing the tan and the fewer number of colors should be cheaper.....?....
This was done before I joined so I didnt have input then (not that it would have helped much... ) and just wanted to say Great job for whoever did it..... |

| Yeah....I was thinking same thing pretty much OCD but decided to refrain and say leave as is. I like the overall design just think it needs to be crisper image. Maybe the lighter background...and some black fine line edging around blue would help set it apart better. |

| Update: Club Shirts Just waiting on an order of 48. See previous thread for pricing and colors. The design is still open to changes as nothing has been done other than get quotes. We were trying to stick with minimal colors though. Like blue and black with the shirt being the background color. short, long, or Polo style are available.

| I like the stickers just fine. I do agree that some "heavier" ones would rock. Mind faded quickly and is hardly readable. My UC sticker is still going strong after a year or more.

This was done before I joined so I didnt have input then (not that it would have helped much... ) and just wanted to say Great job for whoever did it..... | I voted to keep it the same before I really had looked at the image your talking about. I agree it should be changed. I believe Mooker was the one that came up with the concept. I was the one that added the drop shadow and ring. Looks great on a website but lousy and expensive in print. and T-shirts are almost impossible to print drop shadows.
What I would recommend.
Lose the tan. We had two types we had to choose from. White or Tan. I ended up printing both colors. It was a mistake but it was cheap to print and was a good way of letting y'all see what each color would look like. White is a much cheaper and makes the logo stick out more.
Lose the red UC logo. It's the old logo and it adds another expensive color to the logo. As long as it has some reference to being a division of UC I'd say they would be okay with it.
Lose the drop shadow. It's cool for the web but is impossible to print for t-shirts.
Hound Steve and get UC to pay for your stickers. You guys deserve it. You have done a hell of a job getting LC off the ground.
I originally had intended to print both the UC and LC logos together but the printer we used had a min. And I don't think you needed 250 of them. The stickers you had now were meant to be temp. I had used the same method on the mafia stickers a couple years ago and they performed well for a couple years. Obviously the ones I bought this time were not the same type I did then.
What ever you do keep it simple. Most t-shirt companies want a dozen or so shirts per color. So if your logo is black and blue and you print it on a white t-shirt you would have to buy at least 24 shirts. If you print it on a shirt other than white it will need to be 3 colors which is 36 shirts. That's a lot of shirts.
I would suggest you find a local printer who can do the stickers. That way you have more control over your product. |

| I would like a couple of T's. My next door neighbor does digital print t-shirts if yall are interested. I think $4-8 each.
On the stickers. I think something is missing. I like UC stickers A LOT. Their new stickers that is. Why can't we just copy theirs but do it in blue instead? |

| I asked the same thing about copying the UC stickers since we are still connected to them. Trollhole said he liked ours for the LC better. I am still waiting on my "new" UC sticker.

| I dont mind similar but think a different logo is the way to go and the right thing to do...as while connected administratively we are operating independently and will become fully independent some years in the future I expect though it will likely be at least 3 years.
Lets have a contest for a new LC logo now before we order business cards, stickers, tshirts....voted on by membership with coordination of UC to ensure no other issues. Website logo is easy to change with a gif or jpg to upload.
If everyone wants to just use the UC logos and stickers...lets talk about it at next club meeting and have a vote. Maybe if we can get more than a couple members at the meeting in Myrtle we can discuss the future and direction of our chapter and set a better focus for events and support of the Upstate Cruisers as well.
If people do a logo....send them to me and I will make a voting poll for all the submissions and send out for voting by members. Would only be open to Lowcountry Land Cruiser members.

| I should have a few of the new UC stickers, I'll bring them Sat. Also the LLC stickers that are left so everyone can change them. I put a tan one on the 62, but now it looks white. The one I put on Rob's 62 (the one I drove in the parade) is almost all white.
I like the current LLC sticker but we need to remove the shadow underneath. This should give it more definition. Just my .02 worth. Lets get some more opinions. |

| What do you think about doing something like the gsmtr logo? Do the design the same except put an MT tire around the outside with "lowcountry" across the top and "landcruisers" along the bottom like they were sidewall lettering. Taking the lettering out of the design might make room to make the 40 a little bigger. Also might be good to put the web address on there somewhere.

| How about just the bezel with Low Country on top of the bezel and beneath it have Landcruisers. Maybe the top of the top of the "d" in LandCruisers can extend high enough nd turn into a palm. |
