Emergency HAMOM???
My front bumper is due to be delivered on 29 December....I also already have the winch.
Who might be willing to help me install the winch and bumper on my FJ around maybe next week one afternoon. If needed I can force myself to wait until weekend...but took the entire week off for my vacation.
If anyone is available during week let me know...if not then Saturday 3 Jan 09. I will cook on grill...have beer or sodas.
I may need to borrow a floor jack if I cant wait to help me lift it in position....I HATE WAITING. LOL
I will update when it arrives...

guess what.......the UPS Lady just delivered it with some help. 100 pounds of powder coated 3-hoop steel for my front end wrapped tighter than a sailors willy on liberty weekend in Manila.
I am going to need to find some lights to put in it as well....I was going to buy the IPG for on top....but forgot to tell him to not cut out holes in bumper for the smaller ones...so going to find some fog/driving lights for in there to hook up first. Then will add the big IPF 900s later....
Mmmmmmmm anybody busy Saturday? If not it can wait until following weekend.

Like a kid in a candy store.
Ha I know how you feel though. That's how I was with my front bumper. Put it on the day I got it. Then took it off to put the bumper the night I got it.
Now expedition one needs to put there rear bumper out so my truck doesn't look assless next to yours.

Emergency!
All things come to those that wait, grasshopper. But personnaly I'm like the buzzard in a Disney cartoon, to heck with waiting for it to die let's kill it now. With luck you will have your pretty new bumper on in just a short.

LOL could not wait...I mounted the winch in the bumper today. Going to add the solenoid box tomorrow and get everything prepped. Need to mark and drill the holes for the fairlead...then mount it and I am ready to put it on FJ.
Need to find some good directions on what to remove and how to remove front bumper. I dont want to take it off unless needed..... See you guys soon.

If my brother is not able to help today or tomorrow..
Anyone else available during day or early afternoon?
I already put the winch and control box in....connected all wires...so all we should have to do is have a couple guys hold it in position while I insert bolts and then tighten for final alignment. Then connect wires to battery.
Once I get firm answer from brother will post date I am doing it...and have front bumper removed ahead of time unless you guys want to help tear shit off of it too. LOL

Hey everyone.....stand down the ALERT STATUS. I got my bumper installed this afternoon with help of my motorcycle lift and wife. Good thing I married a southern girl raised on locally caught shrimp, grits, cornbread and vidalia onion rings. It is torqued down properly.....fairlead attached...wired to battery...tested and everything is GREEN.
Thanks to all that offered their help....sorry I am an impatient bastard. Did my rear bumper without waiting...did my front without waiting. Only big thing I got left for now is the rear Swing Away Tire Carrier with jerry can mounts, axe and shovel mounts, etc. Expect it sometime this month...LOL
I will take pics of the finished product and add it to my build thread tomorrow.....It is bad ass looking.
Need to find a tree or telephone pole to string out cable and rewind it with weight on it tomorrow...LOL
