LCLC Parade Pic's post em here
To lessen the scrolling let's start a new one on the parade pic's.
Waiting at the gathering place. First to arrive Dave from Florence with his girls.
Oh and if I took the pic's then I guess I was next.
Cool Sunday in December the LCLC getting ready at Melvins BBQ to roll to the parade.

Ben, Brock ocdcbeatle, and others
More start rolling in to rig up.
Bens always stands tall.
Steve looking good.
And our new friend and I think member also from florence he said the back roads were a little bumpy but he enjoyed the ride. I sure enjoyed this pristine and beatiful FJ 40 and look forward to more rides with the beatle. Hopefully next time with no christmas lights an alot more bumpy road.

Moving on
Getting our place in line Dbenke said there were 130 something entries in the parade and I don't doubt it we waited for what seemed like hours before it began after a good fireworks show. Here we are arriving in convoy from the assembly area.
and sitting in line
And one loose screw posing with pooh!

Looks like fun. Wish I could have made it. From what I notice in the pics, we need a banner or something...maybe magnetic signs to go on the lead rig announcing who we are.

Looks like a great time! Show them cruisers off!! Next year, maybe we could get some of the UC crowd down there. The more, the merrier right? Thanks for the pics, Doc!
Merry Christmas LC!

It was a great turnout and I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people lining the streets in some places...WOW!
Good to meet some new members...OCD Beetle and his family....BBQBoy....LoveTractor....also to meet the ScottJohnson body double in his FJ40 hybrid.
Here are a few pics....too bad we did not have someone video us going down street when lights were dark...I know we are in quite a few local cameras and video cameras....as cheers and salutations were plentiful for the Land Cruisers.
First was the meet at Melvins...sorry BBQBoy for going with your family member and competitors place...LMAO
There I saw Mooker and hit public school locker room green FJ40....great to see him out wheeling it again.
Then we had the rig belonging to North Chucks finest....
They frankenstein 40 of Scott Johnson

Next is the Doc and DBENKE love slave....their FJ62. If a man has more than one wife it is polygamy...what is it when one Land Cruiser has two owners.... ??? Cruiser-iality?
then we have MIDAS (ProInv) and his FJ and two of three daughters.....only reason we let him attend is Claire is the life of the events.....he is a threat to our ability to win raffles though....LOL Great job on all the lights Dave...

then we have my BRICKHOUSE...and dont let the clean tires and shiny paint fool you....get within 10feet and you can see a horrendous amount of cat-0-ninetails scratches down both sides of her paint.....through the clearcoat even. Lights on rack and spare.....grinch is deflated for now. (no Cialis jokes)
then we have the 62 DBENKE was borrowing...as he and DOC felt awkward if they were both riding their co-owned love interest together in parade....so this was the official Escort-Cruiser stand in for DBENKE....

Next we have OCDBeetles (Jim) sweeeeet FJ40...that thing was nice..the paint was perfect. Got lots of cheers as he drove down the light with his entire family inside. Thanks for making the cool and bumpy ride from FLorence buddy.
and finally.....after cheers and jeers along the way ranging from YOU ROCK MR.GRINCH, to YOU STOLE MY XMAS....to YOU ARE SEXY GRINCH......I felt like a rockstar. Well maybe the ugly guy that is best friends with the rock star...as I was just getting attention because of GRINCH. One little girl stood out in street....hands on hips...and stuck her tongue out at the GRINCH and then wagged her finger saying...NOT THIS YEAR MEANY GRINCH. Waited for some to flash him as I had beads ready....maybe next year. LOL Next year he will be more than he was this year........YOUR A MEAN ONE, MR GRINCH.
Standing tall and proud....Mr Grinch has a new lease on life.....haha

Very cool guys. I wish I could have been able to drive in it. Maybe next year. I think we all should have some sort of blow up's on the roof next year.

Mooker and I were joking about having The Peanuts inflatables next year. Each one of us gets a different inflatable. Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Pigpen(for the dirtiest truck ), Woodstock(yellow truck), Linus, Lucy, etc. Just an idea. We both got a laugh.
There was one Peanuts-themed float last night. Snoopy doll, chick behind the "Doctor" stand, blaring the theme song. Maybe we can steal the idea.

Lol....Thanks Doc and Brock for the great pictures. What more can I say than girls love the "public locker room green" custom paint job on the 40. My 40 kinda reminds me of most of the girls I know anyways....looks better from 10 feet away or in a dark environment.

I had a great time. I am glad every wants to do this again next year. I am supposed to be getting a CD of the whole parade, and I,ll post them when I get them.
I agree we need a banner with LLC on it, shouldn't be a problem. I have the Tom Woods banner, which is white on the back, I could have my friend in S'ville do us some lettering for it. Shouldn't cost more than 15-20 bucks. I,ll call him and see.
Doc, the banner is in the back of the 62

We had a great time too and enjoyed meeting a few more club members. We've got to jazz up next years event.
