Complete 3FE (except for AC compressor)and A440 transmission for sale. 214K miles. Nearly new Bosch starter and alternator. Engine runs great and doesn't use oil. I kept the oil changed every 3K miles since I bought it with 178K miles on it. I can't vouch for the PO, but the way it was leaking oil when I bought it he had no choice but to keep fresh oil in it. I have fixed all the leaks and now it only has some minor seeping from the rear main that you would expect from an engine with this many miles. When I change oil at 3k it is near a quart low.
The transmission is a different story. It should be re-buildable. It works good when it is warmed up but it slips badly when shifting from first to second when it is cold. Also, just before I quit driving it the TV cable was sticking occasionally. I think it was something in the trans itself and not the cable.
I decided to start my 4BT conversion when the transmission started going down so I don't need these any more.
$500 for both or $600 for just the engine because I have enough junk and I don't want to have the transmission always in my way. I will throw in a good nearly new exhaust system too if you come to pick it up here.
