if it was a FF rear or a 62 front we'd be done already................... I know Kraig's(BreckenridgeCuiser) passing through your way soon..................... http://forum.ih8mud.com/mudship/2371...-la-sd-co.html looks like quite a journey so Mudship's a real possibilty __________________ <---- That's my boy! Georg, how difficult would it be to put the '60 brake parts on a '40 series rear axle? I'd like to move away from the driveline brake and have an E-brake that is more reliable on the rear axle. If that is something that might work I'd be interested in those parts.

you'd have to find a late 40 rear axle housing, 1980 and newer. then you can bolt on the 60 series brakes and use the axle mounted ebrake, instead of the crummy t-case e-brake setup.
great mod if you ask me.
