60 Series Fender Mirrors (Powered)

I've got these JDM powered fender mirrors for the 60/62 (Came from FJ62).

These are used, but are in excellent condition!
It might be hard to tell from the pics, but their color is gun-metallic gray (or whatever you call the color).

If you want to distinguish your rig from everybody else's 60/62, these would go a long way!

There are no major visible flaws or blemishes that I can see, especially considering their age. They do come with the correct gasket for mounting (Pictured). If you need the 6 screws (3 per side) let me know if you can't get them from Cdan or your local stealership (PN: 90154-6007).

I "believe" they are no longer available and their cost was around $400 for the pair when they were available (At today's exchange rate anyway.). Let me know if they were (and still are) available in your neck of the woods.

I'm going to ask $225 or best reasonalbe offer.
Shipping is not included and will be $39/slowboat or $75 express air.

Let me know what you think!

As always, thanks for looking!

Additional pics...

I know that the mirror surfaces look not totally clean (I haven't cleaned them), but they're free of any blemishes, all the way to the edge.

powered switch? Do these replace the side mirrors or in addition to? I was going to be going with the Aussie side mirrors but....

Joey,

I wasn't sure if the US had the powered door mirror option, but maybe not, eh?
[Edit 1]
Just checked twice and found out that at least the 62 had the powered mirrors in it/them. I'm guessing that it might not have been the case for the 60 (-'87?)
[/Edit 1]

ANYWAY, these replace the door mirrors (I guess you can leave the door mirrors and eliminate all blind spots. )

Let me know about the powered mirror option/switch though because when I checked with Toyota this afternoon they told me that it was discontinued. So unless some of the 60/62's came with the powered door mirrors, the buyer would have to rig something up.

[Edit 2]
Hopefully it's kind of a plug and play, so to speak, for the 62 guys and it wouldn't be too hard for those w/o them to make them work.
[/Edit 2]

Hey MOT, let me see if I can figure out how to make them work on a 60 without power mirrors. If I can figure it out then I will get these. The stock mirrors really suck moose balls.

If you've seen me post stuff for sale here on Mud you know I'm VERY patient! ("LAZY")

Although I'm going to put some of the deadstock items up on e-bay in the near future, I'll hold on to these mirrors for you guys in the old, traditional Mot fashion.

Thanks, as always, for your interest!

Mot,
Are these 12v or 24v? I've got these mirrors on my JDM 60 and they are really nice. To make them work (if they are 12v) you would need a controller which is the same as a US spec fj62.

If they are 24 volt I'll make you a good offer.

Thanks,

David

David,

The person I got them from told me that they were for the JDM FJ62V, so I believe they're 12v.

If you want them for 24v, please let me know A.S.A.P. let me know as I "might" be able to pick up a pair.

If you've already got them on your rig why would you need another pair? (Not that I would be complaining!)

I also believe that is 12v. My driver side (RHD) mirror was kicked off the base by someone and left dangling by the harness. I had to drill out the swivel and use a bolt to secure it. I also had to drill a hole through the side of the base to run the harness. So I've been casually looking for a new set for some time, but like you wrote, the prices were astronomical. If you come by some working ones in a similar price range I would take them. No real hurry at all for me as the one I have works- it's just not pretty.

Thanks Mot.

24v

SOLD!!

IG,

I've just picked up a pair of 24v fender mirrors (So I was told that they were 24v. )

There are not cracks or gouges, but there are small streaks(?) on the paint surface. I tried to buff some off, but ended up taking more paint than I intended.

Although they are fine for you (or anyone) to use I would plan on painting them if you want them to look really nice.

That said, I can't justify asking $225 for them, so I'm going to list them for $175, plus shipping.

Let me know if you want them or not!

THANKS!!

Mirrors are fine, except you might be able to see some outer-edge imperfection(s).

BTW, in the first pic you see something that "appears to be" like a small crack, but that is actually a laundry clip (and laundry lines)

ANYWAY, I know that the market for the 24v ones would be even slimmer than 12v's.

But let me know if anyone's interested in having them as a spare or something!

As always, thanks for looking!

any chance someone has a pic of where these should be mounted on the fender? Or rather...where are they typically mounted?

I am interested in purchasing the set of 12 volt mirrors. From all the previous posts I have been unable to determine whether the require drilling or they simply mount in the stock mirror holes. Can you verify this?

right. thanks for the helpful sarcasm.

I overlooked the word "fender" somehow.

Also I re-read post # 5 more carefully. Is there a photo out there somewhere with these installed(echo post 21)? I'd like to see their position on the fender.

not sure what I think about the look. Seems off balance somehow. I'm just used to stock door mirrors.

sorry, just messin' with you while I wait for Hanna to take out my power here on Long Island....

FWIW I think they are super cool (I have a set of 40 series OEM ones that are going on my 40) BUT they would NOT be good out in the woods... those suckers would get torn off pretty darn quickly (or "fastly" as my 6 year old said last night)

Happy Hurricane. We just survived Gustav. Looks like Ike may pay us a visit soon.

Those mirrors are cool but I don't care for the look on the fender and must agree with Woytovich that for those of us who wheel in heavily wooded areas, they wouldn't stay on for one ride. I'm on my 3rd set of "aussie mirrors". Looking for a replacement even now.......
