I have a used OEM metal fuel tank for a FJ-40 for sale.

The tank has never leaked for me (I've had it for 5 years).

Lately, the fuel has been clogging my fuel filter with little black particles. I took it in to the radiator shop and was told:

1. The tank had been coated internally, and that's probably what's coming out.

2. The bottom of the tank has been repaired (a long time ago) using solder. You can see it on the bottom picture. The guy thought it was a good, effective repair.

I didn't have the time (nor inclination) to attempt to either remove the internal coating, or to re-coat the tank.

I hate to throw out something that is really in pretty good shape. Asking $35, plus shipping (estimate $25 more).

What you see is almost what your get. The tank does not come with fuel sender (will be removed). Comes shipped in a genuine Toyota fuel tank box.

That thing is a POS. You should just dump it.
