engine, transmission, and transfercase out of a 74 fj40 for sale in colorado springs. it ran when i took it out.
here is whats wrong with it.
the t-case doesnt engage the front axle. the guy at the tranny shop said the fork probably slipped off because it was getting worn or something...to get a new one and labor would be about $100 according to him. the tranny ran just great before i pulled the whole thing out..but i turned out missing a bolt from the shifter plate and now it clanks when i put it into reverse....i think the bolt fell down inside. also, the last time i washed it, i blew some dirty water down the carborator and it caused a stalling/ idling issue. this is the second time ive done this (dont ask) and just needs the carb taken apart and blown out. it took me about an hour last time and none of the gaskets ripped so i was able to return the rebuild kit.

i live in an apartment and the second bedroom has turned into the landcruisers room.

so here is what is included...

basicly everything from the fan to the tcase, including

2f eng , 4spd trans, tcase....., header and exhaust, holley 2bb carb, k/n filter, and everything else that would come out when you do an engine swap.


ive had this on my trailer for almost 6 months now as i try and deal with the new engine swap stuff. im tired of it and dont want to hassle with it anymore. i would blow out the carb and take it to get the tcase and trany fixed but feel that someone will get a deal based on me just not wanting to get it done. i will deliver it locally and help unload for free if needed or maybe even up to denver for some extra money.
