Tuned Ceramic Headers (man-a-fre) for complete PTO winch

Hey,

I have re-chromed headers from man-a-fre(Equal length, ceramic coated)

http://www.man-a-fre.com/parts_accessories/HeadersTunedCeramicCoatedFand2FEngines.htm

I only used them for the initial timing of my engine. They were re-chromed for free by my neighbor who works at a chrome shop. They are not perfect, some prickling from some left over zinc coating and a small piece that has chipped off. Both of these problems are very minor. I can send you some pics if you would like, they are too big to post in the thread. I decided to change my restoration from slightly modified to stock and these defiantly are not stock. I am looking for a complete PTO winch set up for trade or very small amount of cash along with the headers.

Question

How do you resize a pic for it to fit within the limits of the forum? I tried microsoft paint and a few other programs that I have, none have worked. Any ideas?

Here is the only pic I have right now with the headers. I know they are somewhat hidden up but atleast you can see they exist.

Pto

I forgot to add this in the message board of my last post. I am looking more for a swap(with some cash attached on my part) then a sale. I have some local people that are willing to buy for cash, but I thought I would give IH8MUD folk with some extra parts a chance first. Thanks.

PTO

I just sold a complete PTO setup for $800 that was well used and a 3 speed setup. I thought it would be fair to let you know that a trade within this forum may not happen for a set of headers that are used. I like those headers but you might want to take a peak around at OEM PTO prices.

Not trying to rain on your parade just being honest. These folks here at IH8MUD are not going to overpay or give away a rare PTO.

Best of Luck

Aaron

I totally agree on the PTO value. I have seen the past two setups on ebay go for more then $800. Since ptos and headers dont go together, I thought a trade might help grease things a little. I was thinking along the lines of the headers and about $300 or so hidden inside. What do you think is fair? Would it help to get it re-chromed after a better cleaning? gotta love free chrome sessions. Thanks for the advice

Eric

I doubt anyone will bite on that deal just because a set of headers new is around 150 dollars.

So.... a set of used headers plus 300 dollars = around 400 dollars = 1/2 the cost of a PTO.

I am not trying to be a pessimist but rather a realist.

Sell the headers locally and save your money to buy the PTO.

Good luck whatever you do.

I think this is right on. Sell the header and buy a PTO.
