I've been into wheeling since I could drive. And my buddies 4Runner was starting to show a lot of rust. We decided to built a new one. He doesn't wheel but wanted to integrate a hitch and tow points.

We are not going for protection as much as looks and following body lines and making it look nice.

Still planning on adding some sort of filler to the wings. And a tube above hitch out to the d ring mount to keep from busting knees on it

It will utilize the factory mud flaps also.

My buddy got some more time to come over and almost finish the bumper minus the paint

Thanks for posting these pics. I want to do a steel rear bumper and prefer the tubular look to the ARB/Slee/BOIR look. This is the perfect inspiration. I especially like the filler panel on the wings, the bottom tube is even a small step. Looks so much more finished than most minimalist tube bumpers.

Thank you I think your comments are exactly what I was going for. My phone bricked that had the final pictures of it installed and painted. I'll get some sooner or later to complete this thread.

At 250K I am undergoing a "spruce up program" and replacing the rear bumper is on the list.

Unfortunately no I've been asked before and have in the past. I've come to the conclusion. It's not worth it. To many house personal and family events and projects to keep me busy
