Haha, no, it was still good through 2015. We clean the pantry out to reorganize every few months.

Dates on canned goods are pretty irrelevant. I've used canned food well after it's expiration date and it was still good. If the can is leaking or bulging, it's no good regardless of the date.

Too much liquid/sauce. A bit on the bland side spice-wise but had decent flavor. Beans and meat were solid, not too mushy.

I drained off about 1/4 cup of liquid then ate it over rice with some shredded Mexican cheese and Tabasco Chipotle hot sauce.

I probably wouldn't buy it again as my first choice, probably a 5 out of 10.... still searching.....

my wife is a vegetarian which means most of the times, I'm a vegetarian.

The best vegetarian chili I have found is:

If you want meat, add your own. Steak, chicken, elk, venison, buffalo, or beef.

make sure to get the spicy. You can get low sodium too if you want...

Should we consider that a recommendation or just a "hey, here's one to try"?

Wanna mail me a can?

Good chili. My cupboard is bare of it right now, but I do order it in about once a year by the case since I relocated from that area.

I like Cattle Drive. Get it at Costco.

Reviews on Amazon say:
"First found this chicken chili at Costco, and as many others have said, they no longer carry it."... is it in fact available there currently?
