2015 DC TRD Taco, ARB bull bar, 265/75-16s.

2886s or 2887s?

The truck may end up with an Warn 8K (with synthetic rope) at some point, and maybe a second battery. However for the foreseeable future it will just have the bull bar.

Thanks!

It's been a while since I owned my Tacoma, but I ran 886's with an ARB bumper, Warn M8000 and dual batteries and it was good for nearly 3" of lift as I recall. CV angles were Ok - no fins rubbing under normal load. The ride was a bit stiff and I preferred the ride qualities of the 885's I had previously, but it was the trade-off to keep the ride height up. I remember trying them with an extra top plate spacer (1/2" as I recall) and it was way too much lift for my liking.

The 887's must be newer as I don't recall them being an option. What's the difference as compared to the 886's?

The 887s are the same spring rate as the 885s yet taller. Sort of like Js for Tacos. I think the angles would be too steep for what I'm looking for.

Odds are I'll end up with sliders as well at some point so I think the 886s are the way to go. That said I imagine the 885s would work well with the ARB and an M8000-S (55 pounds I think).

Hmmm...not entirely positive.

Forum rules state that if you have a Tacoma with a bullbar then you must post a pic :)

I'd go 886s. You can always add spacers down the road if it needs it.

The 886s are great!!
Absolutely perfect with the Slee sliders and ARB bull bar with an M8000S.
