I upgraded about 18 months ago to an optima blue top marine battery its huge but fits and its been great its a deep cycle battery and I ran a week with no charging comeing from my motor and even with the battery guage almost at 1 it was still firing up the car I have done a lot of winching with it to and have been very happy.

My factory installed battery died last week, cells were low on fluid. Jumped it & added distilled H2O and took it on an 800 mile trip. So far it has been starting but if I leave cab light on or play the radio (on acc) for a while it drains the battery to where it struggles to start. I know I will need a battery very soon. Is this the same as the Sear Platinum?
