One of mine is jammed in the locked position, will not flip back up to the unlocked position.

Is this common?

Not common, can't say I've heard of it, try some CRC or wd40

Lemme grab my camera. Y'all know what it is though, I'd imagine; the little lock you can engage/flip on and off located on the side of the door so kids cannot open the door from inside themselves.

I can push it to the unlocked position but the switch doesn't move freely as it should and returns back to the locked position as if binded somehow, with resistance.

Sounds broken. Grab the FSM and take it apart.

Mine broke too, cost a fortune to replace the lock.

IF you do have to replace your lock, contact Beno. I had to replace my upper lift gate lock, and he was able to get it shipped to my door cheaper than if a dealer had purchased the part at their cost. It was on my front porch 2 days after calling him.
