your pieces look a bit different than mine, but here's my guess

I'm missing some bracket that goes on firewall, I think.

I bought a '65 parts truck and that's where the linkage comes from. I'll have to look closer. Maybe it's there somewhere, the rest of it was in the toolbox under the seat.

My '62 has been running on bailing wire.

there should be another bracket on the other side of the rod of the bracket that i said goes on the firewall. make sense?

i think your firewall bracket and rod need to be flipped around (like looking at mirror image) and i think there should be a bracket toward the cowl that that rod would go into and would have the piece for the pedal. i get the feeling that yours is like mine, which is a bit of a bastard as yours appears to be a shade different and doesn't quite match the parts pics (like mine didn't). you'll get a better idea by looking at my pics hopefully

Yes I'm missing the bracket closest to the steering column.

So that bellcrank is bolted to the block or manifold?

What if the springs in the diagram?

I have a shock mount I could cut off and you could weld it on instead of switching the entire axle.

Looks like a ignition switch, and doesn't look like its a Toyota switch.
