What Chris means is - use the table in the link to cross your VIN to a year and month of manufacture.

anyone have a good pic of a engine bay with a Trollhole carb on a 1977 or earlier 2F? Specifically I still don't know where the fuel return line goes and I haven't hooked up the choke cable yet, but it looks to attach to the carb in a different manner than stock

well after more reading, it appears the return line isn't used with the Trollhole carb. We'll see how that works out.

Really? That is odd. Are you supposed to go with an FJ-60 fuel pump that has the return line off the pump?

Couple more questions about the desmog....
I'm assuming I cap these? It appears that is the case. Not exactly sure what they are for.
The desmog with the factory carb schematic is different that with the Trollhole carb, so I want to make sure I am not capping something I may need for the charcoal canister to work...the charcoal canister vents to the valve in the back of this photo and there are 2 open ports now on that same valve. Is there a better way to vent the canister?

Just capped the return line and fired it right up. Seems to do fine. I was worried about the gas fumes from a improperly vented charcoal canister (or for any other reason) but no problem there so far. Only 2 vacuum lines now.

got the Trollhole carb on and all sorts of gaskets replaced...its performing great. Been driving it a bit more now. Few updated pics from my parents farm.

Has anyone gotten rid of the the metal pipe that is inline with the lower radiator hose? The smaller outlet on that pipe has been capped on my engine, so the metal pipe is no longer needed. I need to replace those hoses (engine to pipe and pipe to radiator) but it would be nice to just use one hose.
