Those ovens are awesome, but I'm having a hard time imagining how bags of flour and sugar would fare in the back of my LC during an overland trip

For cookies you make the dough before you leave then vacuum seal it and store in the fridge. When you want cookies-remove, cut the dough into appropriate pieces, bake and eat.

For apple crisp, I've cut the apples on site, sugared and used a topping I made ahead of time.

I've made pizzas several times too using par-baked pizza crusts a local Artisan bread place makes for me custom in 10 inch size.

The ovens work great. Since they tend to run for an hour or more, it will use a fair amount of fuel, so plan ahead.

How did they fare in the pioneer days ?

It was more of a joke than anything. I was envisioning my dog covered in flour from bouncing around in the back.

I guess I was the only one who thought it was funny!

Just picked up a Coleman Exponent for $5 off CL. Seems to be in okay shape. I'll get it up and running tonight to see if repair is necessary. But I'm planning on getting it functional and then packing it in a pot with lid as a permanent SHTF stove in my truck. The 60 already has a newer dual fuel coleman single burner living in it just in case :)

I wonder if it will fit in a 3# coffee can? or maybe a number 10 can like the food service stuff comes in. A pot and storage in one.

So I just went through my side attic and upstairs attic. I've came to the conclusion that I may have a Coleman cooler/lantern/stove/water jug problem.

Well, you could send me the red sears big hat, the 236 x 2, and I could use another Military too. We're here to help...

I didn't want to be the one to tell you...

A 502 from 1970 that looks to be in excellent condition showed up at a local consignment shop today. They want $50 for it, if anyone is interested I would be more than happy to pick it up for them.

I saw these at an antique shop called the Barn in Lancaster CA over the weekend.

Don’t know if the prices are fair or not but they had a lot hanging around.

Clean, with the cook set! I have several but if I wanted one and didn't have one, it's a good one to buy.

That 236 I'd buy at that price (1st picture). If you have an interest-go back and buy that one-offer $35. I'll tell you that that is just about Coleman's best lantern ever. Really high quality, all brass, super nice.

If I didn't have any of those, I'd probably pay that much if I wanted one. After trying to talk them down first.

X2 on the 236! Everybody needs one!

I don't want to brag, but...

...I will anyway :grinpimp:

(dimmed waaay down for the pic)

So much want. If I only had the extra cash.
