I just did what was in the post it's nice to be able to lock it when I want and I love to stuff my big body into the foot Bay I removed the front seat to get into the area
Of course, you don't need to pull any wire to do the CDL switch. As I understand it, pulling the wire allows you to run in 4LO with the center diff UNLOCKED, while the CDL is a quick plug & play to allow you to run in 4HI with the center diff locked. I totally understand the appeal of the CDL switch and recently installed it myself. I really don't envision a time where I'd run in 4LO without the CDL locked, so I haven't done the 7-pin. (Had the same conversation last week with a tech at Slee, so at least I'm not entirely alone.

Got started early. Removed the OME caster correction bushings and replaced all the bushing in the learning arms with new OEM bushings. Installed Slee caster plates to get caster back to where it should be. I've modified my 54mm socket to fit both the front and rear hubs, and sanded it down to be the perfect size to press out the axle side bushings.

Is that the HF 20k? If so, did it have any problems with the bushings?

It is. I've changed bushing on 5 rigs with it and have also used it to disassemble struts on 8 others rigs. It has more than paid for itself. You just need to have the correct sized dies.

Here's the other HF 20 ton press we modified to be a brake press.

I've got the press, but getting dies is kind of difficult. I do have one for the bushings, hopefully I'll be doing it in the next few weeks. I'd still like to get a few more dies for other jobs

Got an early start on the weekend, me and the dog (Norton) went up to Boulder City this afternoon.

Taking the LX and heading out to the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo in Pomona where I will be pummeled by 98% flat billers and trophy trucks where I need to hunt down the 2% of the s*** I'm actually interested in.
You should probably flat bill it yourself to blend in, they can smell Axe from a mile away. :flipoff2:

I'm waiting for my oem bushings to come and should start this job next Monday. Are there instructions or orientation/degree/mark the bushings need to be pressed in? Thanks

There is. In the FSM. I don't have mine handy, but it's in there.

Life is great :) my daughter went to her homecoming tonight. She had the choice she could have a limousine or be dropped off in the 80 series. She chose the 80 series. Dropped her off in front of the event, everyone was staring and she was the center of attention for a little bit. She loved every minute of it :) Proud moments …
