Aqualu half doors & tailgate fitted (1 Viewer)

I have my truck back (almost).

I got Aqualu half doors and a tailgate that looks OEM style (my FJ is a 1975 and has ambulance doors). I had them installed and painted. I pretty much will keep the top off permanently. So this was a good move. Safer for the kids than no doors or tailgate.

You're going to like how those doors will keep in the heat, even with the top off.

I don't know that I've ever seen that tailgate panel before. Is that available online somewhere? That could be the start of a nice OEM repro with hinges and latches.

That price though, "ouch". It doesn't take away from how nice it looks, but I paid something like that for OEM with latches, hinges, and chains.

I bought a similar tailgate. The hot rod shop that did the body work and painting looked at it and asked me if I wanted a working tailgate. They added sheet steel inside and made the hinges work and I had a working tailgate instead of a bolt-on tailgate.
