Use short strand fiber glass instead of bondo. Harder to sand but WAY more durable to bashing. Bondo will crack, short strand flexes. The 2 part epoxy stuff. Blue in color. Don't get long strand.

I love the dinning room lamp.

Good on ya for tackling that flaky orange crap! Gives inspiration.
The 'shop' lights are classy. :hillbilly:

Nice work on a tough project.

And after you're all done with painting, you're going to bury the inside of those new metal areas in grease, right? A thick coating of NLGI2 wheel bearing grease, or aerosol Lithium grease sprayed into every cavity?

So every time I see this I think......damn mine does not look so bad at all.

The PO changed the upper shock mounts on mine as well I will snap a shot tonight and post it here. they are super beefy now and hold well.
Might give you an idea.

I love the rust repairs, makes me what to go cut more rust out of my 60. I have to address the rear fenders too. Looks like you have some inner "c" channel to replace. Thats the not so fun part. How is the frame on your truck. looks about 75% there.
